If you are an MSN customer...Infopop suggests you contact them to see if they can assist. It seems like about half the time someone will help you, the other half the time they just blame Infopop. So maybe call back and get another rep if the first says they won't help.

If you want to try some stuff before you call MSN....read on.

From past user accounts, MSN told users the problem was with a file in MSN 7 and 8 called MSNIASVC.EXE, which apparently has a run-time issue. MSN WAS suggesting that users uninstall MSN and install a version that MSN would provide that did not have that file. That seems to have fixed it for those folks.

If he/she is using a later version of MSN software (like MSN 9) that does not use that file, then you may want to revert to an earlier version...here is a tetimonial:

"The user called MSN AGAIN and asked about the MSN 8 and 9 because she had 8 on her computer but wanted to double check... well, from what they told her, they did some sort of automatic update and she now had MSN 9.

So, she stripped all of MSN off of her computer, then re-loaded MSN 8 from the disk she had received when she first started using their service and guess what... she is all fixed.. no more problems (knock on wood)!"

-------------

In the meantime, suggest to your members that they use a standard browser, like IE 6, or Netscape 7.1+, or FireFox, etc.. Just don't use the AOL or MSN browsers.
