This forum is a place for Jon Peter Lewis fans to gather to discuss his music, to make friends, and to share experiences. We anticipate having members who represent many ages, personalities, and views. While that makes discussions more interesting, it also makes ground rules necessary. Please find them below, and follow them to help keep the forum environment safe and welcoming.
1. The most important Internet safety rule: Do not post personal information! This includes your name, phone numbers, home address, school, place of work, and even the names of local streets or the hockey team you play on. You might be surprised how little information is needed to locate someone. Anything posted to this forum is visible to anyone who comes to the site. People can read without signing in or joining, and jplewismusic.com does not do background checks on members. The posting of other people's personal information, including that of Jon Peter Lewis and his associates, is not permissible.
2. Content in this forum may not exceed PG-13 material.
3. Please respect the rights and opinions of other members. Personal attacks, including any directed toward Jon Peter Lewis, will not be tolerated. Any disagreement is expected to take the form of a rational discussion. Vulgarity, profanity, or personal attacks may result in immediate removal of your forum usage privileges. Discussions may not include criticism or evaluation of Jon Peter Lewis' business or personal decisions.
4. Even if masked by symbols, or abbreviated, obscene language and derogatory verbiage, or images are inappropriate and not permitted, especially when directed at another member. You may not target another member to threaten, harass or cause distress or embarrassment.
5. You may not negatively discuss or criticize a member's race, religion or sexual preference. Any discusssion of such topics, even if positive, can only occur in the presence of and with the implied consent of said member.
6. Screen names that contain or suggest vulgarity or obscenity will not be permitted. Your name will be changed to one that is not considered vulgar or obscene, and you will be given a chance to come up with an alternate one by being in communication with the webmistress.
7. Downloads of copyrighted material may not be posted on the forum without permission of the owner.
8. Please write in English or Spanish. Posts written in other languages must be removed as they cannot be properly moderated.
9. Please help keep the forum organized by posting in the appropriate topic or section. And before you start a new thread, try and make sure there isn't an identical one farther down on the board. The same holds true for questions. If you have a question, please look to see if it has been answered before.
10. Repetitive posts with one word or a repeating message constitute SPAM and may be deleted from the forum. If a member persists after being warned s/he may be suspended from forum posting privileges.
11. Links to message boards, blogs or websites with adult (above PG13) content are prohibited. The link will be deleted, as will your post, if the sole purpose of the post is to provide the link.
12. Any member whose forum usage privileges have been removed may appeal. Said member should e-mail the moderators, and explain the circumstances which led to the removal.
13. Users are allowed one name per IP address. Using multiple names will result in the banning of your IP address
14. Users who deliberately violate the rules of the forum will be given a warning. The first warning will result in a 24 hour suspension from forum posting privileges. A second warning will result in a 48 hour suspension, and further infractions will increase the time of suspension by 24 hour increments.

The chat room is available from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. We try very hard to have a moderator present at all times, but cannot guarantee that a moderator will be present for the entire time the chat room is open. Please use discretion.
jplewismusic.com cares about the personal safety of its patrons. We strongly discourage the disclosure of personal information, and advise extreme caution if you choose to do so. If you are under eighteen, make sure your parents know and approve of you giving such information to others.
