Thanks for the link to the article, Paperock! It's good to see Jon getting some good publicity! And I loved his quote ""I did well on the show with Elvis Presley and Van Morrison, two people with soul voices who did rock and roll," he said. "So that's the direction I'm going."". Reading that Jon plans to do that kind of music made me very happy, because he recognized his soulful voice, and his rock n roll style of music all at once! Now I really can't wait to hear more of Jon's music!
WooHoo!!! More songs on the website. Its a great article, I'm so excited for Jon. "Stories from Hollywood" hmmm, that sound interesting, I wonder what it's about.
I know DaaaZ. That really piqued my interest too. Since he said his songs are about girls/a girl, perhaps it relates to experiences he had last year while doing AI. It's exciting to get a hint that perhaps we won't have to wait for the CD to hear more than one song.
Thanks so much for posting this! It's made my day. I haven't been able to sign on, but I had to stop and say thanks. I love MTV! Now, all they have to do is play videos like when I was little and they will make me 100 % happy. Thanks MTV! Thanks Paperock and Jplewismusic.com.
Hooray for Jon! That is a good article, just makes me more excited to hear his music. I this quote: "I think writing your own music gives you something to really sing about,"
Thank you very much paperock! I am happy I didn't miss this article. Lots of great news and information in there. I have my money out and ready to buy the new music. I loved this part: "I think writing your own music gives you something to really sing about," he explained. "When I listen to music and it's an artist singing something by someone else, I feel disconnected. I don't like that. I like to communicate better. The songwriting just came out." I do love hearing Jon sing about what is really inside him. Yet I never feel disconnected when he sings a song written by someone else. In fact, when he sings someone else's song, I feel even more connected than I did when the original artist sang it!
**************************** A voice, a chime, a chant sublime, of peace on earth, good will to men.
Yea!!! I wrote to MTV and gave them kudos for such a great article on Jon! I can't wait to get home from work tonight so I can listen to the new samples!
