Who are some of your musical influences?

Good Question. I have alot of them, I listen to alot of jazz, so Duke Ellington, Miles Davis and the like have all had a profound effect on me. But some of the music I was first into and am still very into is Willie Nelson, The Greatful Dead, and Bob Marley.

Obviously "You Can't Do That On Television" and "Double Dare" are favorites, just for the slime factor, but really "Pete and Pete" is my favorite.

"A Wrinkle in Time" takes the cake in the Children's book category.

Right now I've got a guy named Martin Sexton on the box. He's awesome. As far as new favorites go, there's this country band called Hot Apple Pie, and a band here in NY called the Josh Dion Band. Check em all out!

Thanks for the warm welcome Pattie,

I became a JPL fan in 1997, making me the oldest JPL fan, when he was in a group called the Centralaires, he had some sweet dance moves. Just joking. We were in a band in High School together in Cheyenne, WY. Go Indians!
After school I moved to Miami to study music at the University of Miami. I have been playing music in different bands and groups professionally for the past six years, and I moved to NYC in August. I ran into Jon on the street in Manhattan in August, and we started talking about playing together again. The rest is history!

We met at a gas station in Cheyenne, Wyoming when my friend Pat and I gave him a ride in a brown monster truck. I'm dead serious.

Howdy mba22:

Yes, I play passable guitar, a little piano and am learning banjo. I played in a band called Active Ingredients in Miami for three years, and currently play in some other bands.

Hi mj,

I am currently living in New York and am committed to some things here for a while, but get out to Cali whenever I get a chance.

My influences vary from country to jazz fusion, but my favorites are Willie Nelson and Bob Marley. My favorite bass player is a guy named James Genus, you may know him from the SNL band.

Did you watch American Idol last year? Were you surprised to find out that Jon had flown to Hawaii and auditioned?

Sam replies:

Hi there Iris,

I was sitting around with my friend Woody in Miami, eating KFC and flipping through channels when I saw Jon. It was his audition. I was suprised to see him and commented that I knew he would do well. He has a knack for talent contests.

Do you play video or computer games? If so, what kind? If not, how long has it been since you've played?

Do I ever! Halo2 is pretty awesome, but EASPORTS NCAA FOOTBALL (any year) will always be my favorite game.
