New fan videos are now posted at jonnythecockaroo from Jon's concerts at Molly Malone's in Los Angeles on April 11, 2006 and Velour in Provo, Utah on Oct. 14, 2006. There are plenty of great new songs to listen to there, so check it out.

I took the ones from Provo, and the quality is not great, but they give you an idea of the songs and of Jon's dancing and of the band. Feel free to give me any tips on getting good video. I was standing on a chair farther back in the room, and wish now that I had been further to the front. But standing up close was giving me such a narrow, restricted view through the camera. Guess I will just have to attend another concert soon so I can hone my video skills.

The ones taken at Molly's are much better. They also show some excellent close ups of Jon's dramatic face.

Yes, I love Muddy Water too. Wish that were going to be on the CD, but I don't think so. Hopefully it and Mary with Grey Eyes aren't both never to see the light of day.

I still love Man From Amsterdam, Burning in Hello and Boy Next Door best, I think. They are all great songs, though.

It is hard to hear the words/was hard to hear the words at the show too. I guess we'll be able to figure them out when we get the liner notes to the CDSmile Either that, or arts has already deciphered them. I don't pay much attention to lyrics, personally, just like interesting words in them.

BnL, the words are much easier to hear on the Molly Malone's videos as the sound quality was much better.

I would like to hear Mad Science and Beautiful Girl again but I'll just have to wait to see if they're on the CD. Both are great songs that he played in Driggs.

Here are my comments on some of the song videos from the Molly Malone's show:

Amanda Grace: I just love this song! It's fun, catchy, and very clever. This was a favorite of mine from when I first heard it.

Burning in Hello: Also very clever.. shows his rocker side and I really like the song and the band's sound near the end.

Man From Amsterdam: I haven't heard him do this live (yet Smile), but I really like the song. It is very emotive and a great "coffee shop" song. (It reminds me of the music they play at Starbucks.)

Plastique on the Inside: He played this in Driggs and I loved it.. but it was played much faster in Driggs. I think I like the fast version better, but this slow version one is sort of nice and mellow.

Ukelele Song: What can I say .. his voice is so beautiful on this one! It's very unique and sweet, and the ukelele is cool. He should put on a snazzy Hawaiian shirt when he sings this and have a hula dancer in the background.

Turn to Grey: How can I not love a song where Jon is singing my middle name? (May Flower)

I like all the songs but will just comment on those for now.

i agree that it seems it won't be on the album. maybe someday, though! i am groovin on bluesy jon. and the music for "Muddy Water" is just so...turbulent. very cool.

i am starting to get anxious for the new album release. only a couple weeks left! even the purchase of Beck's recent disc didn't settle me down...though i highly approve of the mess o' stickers that replaced the traditional CD cover...lol.
