Hey Everyone

Mikey's back on the boards after having been away for spring break (where my computer won't let me post on some sites including this one), but while I'm here on campus, I thought I would drop in and let you all know that I also bought Jon's single the other day! I can't wait until it arrives!

Hey just wanted to let you all know that on September 28th I placed my order for JPL's single on Amazon.....I got an alert today...(10-2) Amazon notified me that due to "DEMAND" :-) for this item expected delivery will be between Nov 1st and Nov 20th.... I called them and they confirmed that they are only getting so many at a time and they are filling orders as the cd's arrive.....This is so great I left my order standing but it is so crazy his full album will be out before I am able to get his single....

Now that is exciting!!!!!!!! WooHoo!!!!

Sold out?? wow, that's awesome!

What!? I was going to place my order tomorrow! Mea culpa (whatever that means) Well at least that's good news, which is a great demand for Jon's single. I can understand his record label only shipping so many, being an independent label, but will it really take that long? I should have gotten my order in sooner!

I guess this is a warning for us to order the CD as soon as it is available as it could sell out as well. We don't want anyone to be on back order for that so lets make sure to save up now and order the moment it is available.

I have a feeling my copy of the CD is on back order as well, because I haven't heard back from Amazon.Com since I placed my order. I hope I am able to get one!

I just got a notice from Amazon that my single has been shipped!! I have the tracking number and everything. Maybe the November 15th date is the worst case scenario. Yay for new music!!

I also just got a notification from Amazon.Com that my copy of Jon's If I Go Away/Man Like Me single has just been shipped! YAY! I was so afraid I would miss out, but no, mine is on the way! I also can't wait until Jon's full-length album is released!

I wrote a short review for Jon on Amazon, even though my single hasn't yet arrived, but when I've received it, I'll write more reviews, and especially write some for the full-length CD when it is released.

First person who gets this cd needs to post the lyrics for "Man Like Me" pleaaaaase!
I want to know how the full song is.

My hope is that they will be selling the single at the concerts this weekend. Then those of us going can likely listen and post up the lyrics for "Man Like Me."

I got my single in the mail tonight! What a pleasant surprise. It's great to have an actual CD in my hand with Jon's music.....LOVE it!

Wahoo, Jill, and I were all together tonight here in Salt Lake. Just heard "Man Like Me," thanks to wahoo, who is a real sweetie and picked us up and has shown us real kindness.

I need to listen to the song several more times to fully grasp it, but it is a beautiful song and Jon's voice is very soulful and maybe yearning. I especially like the beginning and end of the song, where we get Jon's emotion-laden, clear, pure sound. I think this song will really shine in concert.

We drove in wahoo's car, listening over and over to the single, while the lights of Salt Lake City glittered all around us. Lovely.

I haven't gotten my copies of the single yet, but as arts said, it was great to hear the songs tonight. Jon's voice is beautiful on these songs, and even better news is that he's got quite a few more great songs most people haven't heard (November 7 will be here soon!)

The very best thing of all about this double-sided single is that Jill gets a thank you along with everyone else who was thanked on the single-sided single sold in Nebraska. Jill has worked so very hard and been such a selfless, pure-hearted, kind, and generous person. She doesn't do the things she does with any hope of reward or glory. She simply likes Jon's music, likes the people here on the site--so she helps. It is a privilege to have gotten a chance to know someone as genuinely charitable as she is. She isn't perfect, and would probably be embarrassed that I am gushing about her, but honestly, she is great, and this thank you on the single is more than well deserved.
