Anyone hear of this one before?? It's a Live365 station and the link is to their top 20...Jon's Turn to Grey is #3 and If I go Away is #11!

Yep Gidget. I posted about it in the thread for Idol Waves Radio. I was keeping all the internet radio together, but it is actually good to have this mentioned under music. I think my post got buried by news about Jon's blog. "Turn To Grey" even hit number one last week and "Man Like Me" soared to #2 on Rose Radio. I was rather excited about that. I really like Rose Radio since Jon comes into their rotation quite often. And the other songs they play are very good too. Plus, they don't play many ads.

An interesting side note. Every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern, Wizard Radio plays only American Idol music. This last Saturday, they did something I have never seen them do before. They ran a little blurb plugging 3 new albums--including Jon's! I think Fantasia was one of the others. I didn't actually HEAR the blurb, but when I came back to the computer, I saw on the player that it had run. Wizard Radio plays "Boy Next Door" regularly, but they have a long play list. Every Tuesday, they play 2 songs in row from the same artist, and they always play "My Girl" and "Boy Next Door." Wizard Hitz Radio also plays Jon's music.

Oh, sorry Arts. I must have missed your mention of this. I figured you would have known about this one already. Wink I'm listening to it at work today. Interesting mix of music. LOTS of Clay Aiken......Roll Eyes (something I am noticing about him, he covers a lot of songs. Not many are originals....)

Does Rose radio have a "nothing but country hour or something? " =| I'm trying to listen but it has been all country music, I'm not a big fan of the genre.

I might change because this station plays some out there stuff....and for the record, I don't think Latoya London has a great voice. Her version of "All by myself" is HORRIBLE!!!

I really liked the Bo Bice song. And I love John Denver. I love anything he sings. I love that folk sound, and to me, John Denver has a unque voice, as Jon does. And John Denver was a singer/songwriter too. Honestly, there is something magical about gathering around a crackling campfire, in the Rocky Mountains, smelling the forest's rich aroma, and hearing a decent guitar player/singer perform. Denver's "Rocky Mountain High" and many of his other songs conjure again those feelings of contentment and unity with nature for me. I had such a great time when I was in colllege at BYU. When you combine the beauty of nature with fine, fun friends, it is true bliss. Those mountains still have a hold on me.

I really like folk music as well Arts. Honestly I really like just about anything, I have VERY eclectic tastes. I just like some MUCH more then others. I can sometimes like country but there are very few songs I get into. With folk I can get keen on a lot of songs from that genre. I'm a little disappointed about live 365 though.
I have had my computer for 6 months now and just today really looked through my Media Center. Live 365 is a featured online venue. I LOVE trance, dance, tech, bass, jungle, ect... Whether it is up beat or down beat I seem to love the just about every song I hear with a half decent composition. According to the channel listing provided, out of all those stations advertised by 365, there are only FIVE that fit that genre. =(

Rose Radio just started 3 hours of playing only music from AI singers. So listen in from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Eastern, and you are sure to hear several of Jon's songs. Be sure to vote too! When y'all were listening yesterday, they were doing a show where they play the new music they will introduce this week, and it just happened that they were adding in several country tunes. I'm not especially fond of country music myself, but I like Rose Radio. They are more of a lite rock station than a heavier rock station, but they play some things that qualify as true rock.

Here is what the Rose Radio blog had to say for last week:

"Umm, the Clay Aiken fans were rather persistent this week. I am a tad disappointed that Bo Bice, Taylor Hicks and Jon Peter Lewis didn't make either chart this week. Maybe their fans will listen in and vote for their favorites this week! These charts are based on the votes placed for the past seven days, so if you have a favorite, you have to keep voting for them each week!

Since Clay has made such a strong showing again this week, I'm going to stay with the Top 20 songs with and without Clay."

So.......I like Rose Radio, but Jon ought to be on their charts still.

Rose Radio has added "Boy Next Door" to their station. It's the old version, the one I prefer overall.

"Boy Next Door" went to #4 last week on the Rose radio charts. Jon beat out some really stellar singers and songs. The fact that it is a brand new add for the station helps it, but this is still quite a remarkable showing for Jon.
