Jon was amazing, but the funny thing is he was the only one that got to perform! I met Roxy, and it was crazy fun, we were front row and Jon was as amazing as ever. He sang Turn to Grey, This Old Heart of Mine, and a ukelele song for Jasmine (she couldnt sing because her throat was sore) and it was amazing. His voice... live... you can't get better than that. seriously. chills. I got it on video, so I'll have to load it and make some stills...
oh and there was a dance contest, so I got myself in it and danced with Jon! Ah I'm still shaking.
There was a signing part after all of them had come out, and *this is so hilarious* he was signing Roxy's shirt, and I said "will you sign my boots", and the music was playing very loudly. He said "no" very firmly, which surprised me, then looked at me funny. I pointed at my boots and said "you can't sign my boots?" and he smiled, and said "oh I thought you said something else!" and gladly signed my boots!!! JON!!! lol
haha during the Q&A portion, Jon was asked what his most embarassing moment is. He told us that when he was in Spain he was talking to this guy and was really into the conversation *on the street corner* and suddenly had to go to the bathroom REALLY bad! I bet you know what happened next!!! ahh
Oh, and Roxy and I bought him a shirt from AE and wrote on the sleeves, and we were the first to get the mic to ask him a quesiton *we were rather enthusiastic* and we asked him if we could trade him a shirt for a hug and he jumped off stage and gave us AWESOME hugs. wow tongith was such fun!

Awesome Lexi! I am so happy for you that you even got to dance with Jon. Why was Jon the only one who performed? I see that Jasmine was sick, but what happened to the other 2? Mikala and whoever else was supposed to be there? Did Jon have much support there? Were the television cameras there?

That is so awesome... Was the Ukulele song the same one from Rexburg???? Oh and TOHOM I loved that one (It was my second fave AI performance)... Can't wait for the stills

I'm glad you had a good time! I wish I could have gone (although I'm a bit far away here in LA). I'm having withdrawals because I haven't seen him in person since January.

Maybe Jessica Sierra, Nikko Smith, and Mikalah Gordon don't really have music to prepare and perform? I also think that they're not supposed to perform outside of specific Idol-sponsored-Idol-promoting events. Mainly. I could be wrong.

I am also interested in why jon was the only one to sing? Sounds like a great time! I agree with Paula...jon makes every event fun. That's so cool you got to dance with him. What song were you dancing to?

It sounds like you had a great time, jplismyman, and I'm so glad you got to meet Roxy. It's so cool when forum members get to meet. And, like Mish, I was wondering about the crowd response. Did people seem to like his songs? How could they not??????
They had a singing contest of people from the audience singing and Jon was on stage with the rest of the AI people and they would comment after. At one point he pulled out his camera and was taking pictures of the girl that was performing's butt. Then he sat there looking really bored and even pulled out his cell phone to either play with or check the time. My friend made a sign that said "JPL smile!" and we held it up till he saw it. He gave us the cutest smile and then made sure we got a good picture of it.
His performance was great, but I don't really have any other comments to add to that.
During the Q&A I was going to ask a question, but then the guy next to me took the mic and pretty much asked my question for me lol. I wanted him to dance. He did a few minutes later, and I got it on video. I'll upload it tonight or tomorrow. I had to leave right after that so I missed everything else.

Did you get to see Lexi dancing with jon? Which song was your fav? How come none of the other idols sang? What was your question that the guy in front of you asked?
