Who else, not considered a Jon fan, loves "Turn To Grey"?
I had it playing when my hubby got home and he just loves it. He's more urgent about getting it burned on a cd and making sure it's saved on the hard drive than I am.
He keeps saying, "This song is really good. I'm surprised. This sounds great." I want to tell him "I told you so" but I just smile.
Hubby's a fan of The Doors, Chris Isaac, Grateful Dead, and The Rolling Stones. And, I think when Jon's full album comes out, a Jon Peter Lewis Fan.

He's definitely a "Turn To Grey" fan.
It's very cool that your hubby likes Jon's new single. My hubby doesn't like anything that not playing on a oldies station, there is just no hope for him.
It's gotten good reviews from the people I've worked with. A few have even just randomly come in to my office and said, hey, who is that playing...that's good
My husband only likes hard rock. He likes the What's Wrong clip, but not Turn to Grey. But my sister in law, who was a big Fantasia fan, and didn't like Jon at all, was very impressed and told me she wants to know when his CD is coming out so she can buy it. The other people I've sent it to really like it, but they weren't negative before.
I still need to hear it! I don't want to download it at work...and my internet at home is so flaky right now that I don't trust it to download. *sigh* I'm just gonna have to wait, I guess.
Last night I played the whole song for my man.....he liked it. Said "It's not bad, Not bad at all. Sounds bluesy. I like it."
WOOHOO!! That is awesome! Yay Jon. You won over another male fan who at first thought nothing of you. (Sounds harsh, but with your talent, you just can't be denied!!!)

Ok, one of my mom's friends was visitng today, and she's an American Idol fan, but she wasn't a Jon fan at all, last season. But, today, I played her the three sample songs from this site....the first one I played for her was the clip of "Turn to Grey" and the look on here face was a look of surpirse (like wow is that really JPL), and then she said "WOW, that's really good, he sounds SO much better than he did on American Idol!"...and that's high prais from this lady because her husband is a musician and a singer/song writer, himself! Then I played her the clip of "What's Wrong", and she really liked that one too, and finally I played her a the clip of "Stories From Hollywood" and she liked that one too! She though all of Jon's songs were really good! And, she asked me to write the web address for this site down so that she can play the clips of the songs for her husband, once she got home, because she though her husband would be pleasently surprised at how much Jon's singing and voice had matured from when he was on the show! She even said she might buy the single, if her husband liked the song too!
I guess this goes to show that even people who wern't fans of Jon's when he was on the show, are realizing how talented he truly is, and those people are now becoming Jon fans! And that's definitly very cool!
My grandmother thought it was a very pretty song. I had to translate it for her, since she only speaks Spanish; however, she thought Jon Peter Lewis sounded wonderful and loves the melody.
I have been meaning to send it to a few of my friends.
My mom hated JPL and thought he never should have made it to hollywood. But she's playing "Turn to Grey" to all her friends. shes crazy about that song

I wasn't sure what thread to post this in, but though this thread seemed somewhat logical.
I was over at the FOX AI board and had posted a link to the three samples of Jon's songs on this website, and this was a reply that I got just today....
quote:
georgiadr from the idolonfox message board: Thanks for posting that link. I liked it! Reminds me a little of John Mayer, but JPL has a better singing voice...
Anyway, I though that was a cool comment, and I just though I would share it here!
That person's right, Jon's voice is a lot better than John Mayer's. Jon has way more range. I'm glad she liked the single and people are beginning to realize and appreciate Jon's talent!

Although I do like the song "daughters," I don't like it because Mayer's voice is so great. I like the story it tells, and its message, but the voice is nothing spectacular to me. Jon has both the great voice and the interesting songs. Jon's voice has power and richness and depth.

Exactly, Arts! Jon's voice is not only beautiful, unique and refreshing but it also has a vulnerability to it that allows Jon to convey the emotion and story of a song, as well as pull the audience into the song. Also, the passion that Jon sings with makes the listener feel as though Jon is singing directly to them, as opposed to singing at them, like so many other artist out ther today! However, these are just my observations!

This all was very well said, luvs. I especially like the part about Jon not singing at people. There is a closeness in the voice. He sings without creating a wall between him and the audience or between him and the song. I can't explain. . . .
But I am straying off topic. I better start playing the song for nonfans so I will have something on topic to say!

Thanks, Arts! And you are right, Jon does sing with out creating a wall between him and the audience or him and his song! That's one of the most appealing things about Jon's music, well that and Jon's amazing, beautiful and unique voice!
