Thanks to some nice fans (amzgra and Pattie) who found wireimage photos of Jon's concert at Molly Malone's on April 11, 2006, we seem to have some idea of who Jon's band members might be. Here is the link to see both Jon and the band at the concert: http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=gls====181006&nbc1=1
These are their names according to the captions on the photos: "Lee Ferris, Craig Macintyre, Andrew Synowiec, Skyler Elobar" I imagine we will be seeing and hearing more about them.

I'm pretty sure these are the bandmember's websites, but I still haven't gotten confirmation from the right people, so don't blame me if they're wrong!
Jon has assembled a fine band if these are indeed the ones who will tour with him. Look at the credentials of Craig Macintyre, the drummer. First off, he has played for Josh Groban, a phenomenal star and one of my favorite singers. Second, he has some major league appearances to his credit. I am impressed:
Appearances Late Night with Conan O'Brian
The American Music Awards
World Music Awards
PBS Special: Josh Groban with special guest, Bela Fleck
VH1
Sessions @ AOL
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Ellen
Good Morning America

I think JPLm would have to pay a fee for using each WireImage picture, bnl. Not sure whose idea it was to take them, though... maybe it was someone Jon knows? I think if you're willing to pay $10 you can look at the bigger versions yourself (but posting them would probably result in legal action).
If anyone knows anything about how WireImage works, I'd like to know.
"I already know the ending it's the part that makes your face implode, I don't know what makes your face implode, but that's the way the movie ends. -- Experimental film, They Might Be Giants."
I am slowly working my way through these band members in no particular order. Y'all feel free to jump in with anything that strikes you about them. I now know what Jon meant when he said in an interview something about how knowledgeable his band is in music and how it made him happy that they loved his songs. I was poking around on Andrew Synowiec's site and found that he has an M.A. in Studio/Jazz Writing from the University of Miami. Jon's band members really do have a deep understanding of music! And, and, and, and, ok, are you ready for this? It is almost too good to be true. Can you guess where Andrew was born and grew up? You get one guess and one guess only. I see some hands going up! Some of you have been paying attention to my whining for the last 2 years after all. Yes! It's true! Andrew is from. . . the Washington D.C. area! Since Jon has such a disproportionate number of highly supportive fans within a short drive of D.C., a concert here is looking more and more sensible. Andrew can bring his friends and we all will bring ours and we will pack the venue! So howdy to neighbor Andrew. Come home to visit any time and bring your new friend Jon Peter Lewis with you. I'll provide some cornbread.
Everyone should go visit the sites of these guys and read their biographies and see all their stuff. But here is some of Andrew's info:
"You may not have heard of Andrew Synowiec by name, but chances are you've heard his guitar playing. Whether on the CBS hit drama Without A Trace , a blockbuster movie trailer, or today's top-pop music, Andrew is one of LA's most promising young session musicians. Andrew has performed on records selling over 10 million copies worldwide including Marc Anthony's Grammy-winning Amar Sin Mentiras, Maria Schneider's Grammy-nominated Romances, and albums for some of Latin music's most important artists such as Thalia, Paulina Rubio, and Chayanne.
His live performance credits include appearances on MTV, ABC, Fox, The WB, Sessions @ AOL, The Disney Channel, Univision, and Telemundo as well as international tours for Sony, EMI, BMG, and Hollywood Records recording artists. In addition, Andrew has played on numerous commercial music sessions for productions and clients such as "Ocean's 12," "In the Heat of the Night," Warner Bros, MGM, New Line Cinema, and many others. Productions featuring his performances have achieved numerous top positions on the Billboard Charts and been broadcast and exhibited countless times all over the world.
Also a talented producer, Andrew's compositions and arrangements have been released by EMI records, performed by the United States Air Force Band, and featured at the International Association of Jazz Educators conference. Andrew holds a Master's Degree in Music from the University of Miami, where he performed with some of the most renowned artists in Jazz including Vince Mendoza, Joe Lovano, David Liebman, Bob Berg, James Moody, Bob Mintzer, and Jim McNeely. He was twice honored with Down Beat Magazine's Outstanding Performance Award. Andrew is endorsed by Taylor Guitars, Floyd Rose Guitars, Aiken Amplification, Elixir Strings, and IK Multimedia."

Jon certainly has an excellent band together! I saw the Wire Image pictures (which are indeed a little small), but they look like an energetic and passionate group of young rockers! It will be a long time, I'm sure, before they are able to head Down Under for a show (sadly - as I would love to see a show), but hopefully the EP and maybe a DVD will be available soon!
Meanwhile, I looked at the individual band members sites, and found some pictures which I'm able to post of an appropriate size if that helps.
Hi Nicole and welcome. I agree. These band members are excellent. Very talented. Nicole, when did you first learn about Jon and this site? What do you like musically?
Until I saw the photos from Molly Malone's that were posted yesterday on JPLm's Gallery, I was thinking maybe we were missing a photo of the keyboardist. But it looks as if Lee Ferris is the one playing the keyboard in that shot of Jon and the whole band. From the photos on the main page of Lee's site, I was thinking he would be playing guitar.
This is some of what it says about Lee: "Lee Ferris has been writing and performing music for the past ten years. The 24-year-old singer-songwriter is a guitarist, pianist, artist, guitar builder, and surfer." I have listened to Lee's singing and music on his site, and have enjoyed it very much.
Also from his bio, it appears he started piano lessons while in primary school. This is the style he brings to the group: "his songs are reminiscent of early American Folk, Jazz and Blues traditions." I think it is very neat that Jon continues to bring blues influences to his music. I am excited to see what kind of hybrid music is born from the people and ideas that swirl around Jon.

I finally got to see the Molly Malone's video last night and I loved how Lee was praising him. Jon seemed so bashful. LOL Lee felt the same way I do. I love to hear Jon sing!
