I have been watching Phelps during the Medal Ceremonies and I think that he just gets too emotional up on the podium. A few of them were inbetween races for him, and during those I think he was trying to relax his mind to get into the mind set for the next race. I did notice a few times that he looked very choked up while up there, you could see him swallowing a lump. And a few times it looked like he wanted to sing a few words, but he just couldn't do it.

Sock monkey, lol.. yes Phelps does kind of look like one, but I would have never figured that out on my own. He is handsome though.. and I was thinking, now that he will have all this money, maybe he'll get his teeth fixed. I don't mean to be superficial or anything, but look at how it improved Elliott's appearance. Phelp's aren't really that bad, but they are kind of jagged looking and he'd look great with some straight, even teeth. (Not that mine are perfect because they aren't. But if I had millions of dollars, the first thing I'd do is get perfect teeth, lol.)

I think his lower jaw is larger than his upper jaw which creates that lisp type sound in his speech and the fact that his teeth are crammed in there.

Here is the cover of Sports Illustrated:
When they showed it on the news (in the small window) it looked like he was wearing a halter top at first...

lol I thought it looked like a halter top too, or a belly dancing outfit! Oh, and .. umm... is he not wearing pants in that picture? Isn't it almost too obscene to be on the cover of a magazine like Sports Illustrated? How about out gymnasts getting low-balled again? Nastia should have had the gold on her last individual event, the uneven bars, because she was near flawless on the same point value routine as the Chinese girl, who make several visible bobbles that should have resulted in deductions. So there was tie and they have a really weird tie breaker rule in place that singles out the second mark on execution or something like that and on that mark the Chinese girl just happened to have a hair higher mark than Nastia. Weird and not fair, but whatever. It shouldn't have ever been a tie anyway. Nastia handled it well, even though you could tell by the look on her face and her coach/dad's face that they knew it wasn't right. It's just fishy that it was always the American's that were low-balled and the Chinese who's deductions didn't add up to the number of mistakes they made. I'm proud of all of our Olympians, especially our gymnasts. They were constantly low-balled on scores, yet had a great show in the medals anyway and came away with their heads held high, knowing they didn't have to cheat on their ages and have crooked judging to win what they were allowed to win.

I couldn't figure out if he had pants on or not Paula. (Maybe he's wearing a speedo).
And the gymnastics pissed me off. The tie-breaker rule is stupid, but whatever. At least we didn't get lowballed on the All-Around
And what about Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor, they were amazing!!

So they really are looking into the ages of the Chinese girls. They said on the news last night that they found some documents of the girl who won gold on Uneven Bars that puts her at being only 14. All of the passports say the girls are at least 16, so they are going to look into it more. If they find out that they are under 16, they will be left with only two bronze medals for women's gymnastics.

The Chinese will just make some more fake documents. Not hard to do when you are communist. I do feel sorry for the girls.. if they indeed are underage and I do believe the are.. because they live a life where they are told what to do and they have to do it and now they could be punished for it. I truly believe, however, that it will all get swept under the rug and they will continue to deny it. They even have the parents denying it.

Oh it will come out eventually, even if it is several years down the road... There is no limit of time for them to strip people of their medals.. (What it happen when the girl gets married )
