Ew that picture makes me look huge, haha.
Anyway. The concert.
First up was Ashley Parker Angel. He's really good looking, but his new songs are kinda strange. I liked "Soundtrack to your life" and "Let It Go" but other than that...ick.
After Ashley, Mario Vazquez was up. His album (comes out August 1st...) will not be good. The other people who sang all got to do 4-5 songs. Mario only did two before his back round track was dead. The cd had scratches in it, and Mario would cover them up with "yeeeeeeeeahs" and "noooos". It was almost like he didn't know his own words to his own song. Karma sucks, doesn't it?The lady that was behind us in the Meet and Great line for Bo said that his album is supposed to be Christian based, but I dont see that. He had those girls all over him during his performance.
Then the Disney artists Aly and Aj came on I think. At this point, I am kind of lost. I'm only basing this on the pictures I see on the site, lol. I didn't think they did bad. I like their song "Rush." But yeah. lol.
After them, Saving Jane came on. No one really seemed to be into them until their last song since its the song that everyone knows. I dont remember the title of it though. They also covered a U2 song ("where the streets have no names" I think?) that was ai'ight. The lead singer sings very weird?
Then Ne-yo came on, and Jana, Marc, and I left to go get some food and a bathroom break. I think we got the passes for Bo during his performances. You had to buy their album (20$) in order to meet them. Hey - it's a great way to boost your sales!
Jana and I walked back to our seats while Marc was getting more money for us, since we used half of the money my mom gave us on the Bo bice pass. On our way back up, Jana noticed that it was Ayla Brown introducing Natasha Bedingfield! It was kinda a coinicidence because I was talking to Jana earlier about how there was a chance we could see Ayla on the AI5 concert in MA.
Natasha was by far the best (after Bo, of course). She did most of her songs acoustic and her last one "Unwritten" was with a back track. She was VERY good.
It seemed like everyone was there to see Teddy Geiger. I don't see what's so interesting about him, really. He kind of reminds me of John Mayer. -shrug- He did well from what I paid attention to. I only know his single song "For you I will" though. eh.
After Teddy was done, they showed on the screen that it was BO BICE next!

I was jumping up and down for joy...w00t! Then one of the radio guys came on stage and I thought it was time for Bo! No. I was wrong. They had to do a stupid "Matty's Idol" thing. Three people came on stage and were almost all horrible...lol. First girl sang "Black horse and a cherry tree" but didn't really sing anything but the "no no no's". Second guy did a song by some rapper, but was actually really good. Everyone loved him. The third girl reminded us of that black chick on the AI auditions who kicked her leg up and we saw waaaaaaaaaaay too much. She did a Mariah Carey song. I don't know who won, but whoever did got 10,000$.
The radio guy mentioned that their very own Ayla Brown from MA went to the top 16 of AI. We thought that he was going to introduce Bo. No. They had Ayla sing three songs. No one really paid attention to her because a lot of people wanted Bo...Okay, well the people in front of us and our group wanted Bo

But Ayla sang that Celine Dion song she did on the show, "Hero", and another song she's working on with Staci Orrico. The third song wasn't bad. She doesn't sound any different live than she does on TV.
Okay! Next was BO! It looked like the outfit he wore wile singing one of the songs on AI. Didn't wear any shoes, which I thought was cute

He started out with "Cinnamin and Novacain" which is a SugarMoney Classic. Loved it! No one else but us Bo fanatics knew it...so people didn't seem that excited. Next was "Vehicle", and little by little people stood up out of their seats. "U Make me better" was really good! I was surprised how similar the band sounded with it because usually their sound is different than the song on the CD. At this point, I was all giddy and kept saying to Jana "I hope he does Valley of angels and sweet home alabama!" over and over again. Just so happened he pulled his guitar out and did "Valley of angels"! I was super happy, and it sounded awesome as usual. Then before he sang "The Real thing" he said "I want to thank you guys for making this number one on TRL!" and Jana looked at me and said "Thats you!"

Tons of people cheared and got up and started dancing. It was fantastic! When he was done singing that, I was kinda disappointed because I wanted "Sweet Home Alabama." He already did five songs, so I wasn't expecting more. But he surprised us! Six songs! People were CRAZY over this song and he had EVERYONE on their feet. The great thing about him singing that song is that everyone young and old know it so everyone could sing along. I found it funny that most people only know the chorus...haha. you could hear the people singing to it. Wonderful! I thought he was done after that for good, but I noticed that Kris Bell wasn't moving. One more song? Yay! He ended it with "Free Bird." Only sang the first verse and chorus and ended it with a sa-weet guitar parts with the others in the band.

Teehee:
After Bo was done, it was around 7pm so Jana, Marc and I left to go line up for Bo at 8pm. Marc got food and got me a water...and we sat in line for an hour. The lady behind us started talking to Jana and me at one point. I had a feeling I knew her from some forum, and I was right! She's from the Sugar Money Fan Forum so we talked and talked...It was fun! She took a picture of me when we got closer (like 5 feet closer...teehee) because she said my face was price less. She had already met Bo a few times before, and she told me it was nice seeing someone so giddy about it. She said that she'd take a picture of me meeting Bo if she got the chance. I don't know if she did...I'll ask her later on SMFF.
In line, we got to listen to James blunt and Nick Lachey. I kinda wanted to see Nick's set, but I couldn't risk it...So we didn't stay to watch All American Rejects ( that woudlve been awesome though), Rhiana, Mary J Blige, and chris Brown. Rumours were going around that they had a special guest, too. We thought it might've been Shakira with what we were listening to.
Meeting Bo was awesome. I would've loved to have an actual conversation with him, but the guards there were REALLY pushy. I got up to Bo (At this point I was like OH MY GOD! HES RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!) and he said: Hi! Whats your name?"
Me: Callie!
Bo: [starts to write it and stops after the a] How do you spell that?
Me: L-L-I-E
Bo: I have a cat named Callie.
Me: Really? Now I feel even more special! [haha what was I supposed to say?!]
Bo: Yep! She's a Calico Cat.
Me: Cool!
Bo: There you go!
Me: Thanks!
And I walked out...they had to cut your bracelets off before you left the gate. The lady that was doing it seemed a bit cranky when I said for her to watch out because the bracelet was covering my "Life is a Team sport" one. I didn't want her to cut it. She said "It's okay, I've done this before" in a really horrible tone of voice. But I didn't care! I got to do my "victory walk" as marc put it, down to marc...hahaa. I was sooo freaking giddy after that.
That's it, really. Best time of my life! My two new goals of my life is now to 1.) Meet Ruben and give him a bear hug because it seems like so much fun and 2.)Meet Bo again and have an actual conversation with him.
