Chicago is an awesome city... If I had to recommend one thing though, I would say The Art Institute of Chicago... They have a lot of famous painting there... Including A Sunday on La Grande Jatta - Georges Seurat and several things by Von Gogh, Monet, Degas, Renoir and Picasso... I love the Art Institute! It is said to be the best Art Institute in the US (And one of the best in the world)...
Other cool places are: The Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum, Brookfield Zoo (I love that zoo), Shedd Aquarium, Licoln Park Zoo (They have free admission), Navy Pier, The Field Museum (They are the home to Sue, the world's largest, most complete, and most famous T-Rex), Museum of Science and Industry... Plus they have GREAT food From the Sky Deck of the Sears' Tower you can see a great view of the city.. And well Lake Michagin is so beautiful..
This site has all of the Chi-Town attractions... (There are a LOT Chicago is the third largest city in the US )...

I don't have websites but...if he has two weeks and never been to the US, I think New York City is a must. Although it is not between Ohio and California, I think the detour is worth it (unless he is driving!).
Hope he has a great time!!

I was an Army brat growing up and we moved almost every year. Well every time we moved my parents made the long road trips cross country worth it. My favorite one was going from Alabama to Hawaii, also one of our longest. If it is driving then I highly recommend the course. Since I was a kid (about 12) and we are harder to please, then it should work on adults to. I know I would do it again in a heart beat. If you are coming out of OH, Jolie is right. Chicago would be a great place to stop. If you started to drive straight you also would go through, Lincoln, Nebraska. Red Hot Sammy should be able to tell you what to do while there . Then if you follow the 70 down into Denver, Colorado there is plenty to do there. I have family out there and going through the Mountains is just unbelievable beautiful. Then coming from Colorado head towards the " Four Corners." It is were Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah all meet. He can say he saw four states at once. The goal here is to get to Arizona. A LOT to do there. To me Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon are two places everyone must visit in life. Also heading this was you come out of the Rockies and mountain areas into this gorgeous dessert landscape too. You can then go through Las Vegas and enjoy there. (Travel hint: I remember Vegas is much cheaper on hotels and food. Guess they want you to use the money on gambling...) Then From Vegas area You can head towards Bakersfield, CA and the Napa Valley area. Also going toward San Fran you could stop and see Yosemite national Park. Hope this helps!

Those are all great ideas. Denver is very beautiful in the summer months.. Winter too, just hard to get around all the snow and weather issues. I was going to mention Flagstaff in my post too because it is close to Sedona. Also, at the "Four Corners" for a fee you can get down on your hands and knees so that each limb is in a different state (for example you can have your left foot in Arizona, right foot in New Mexico, left hand in Utah, and right hand in Colorado). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Corners_Monumenthttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Corners_(United_States)Here's someone's home video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAnKEiGC08I&mode=related&search=

Lucky, you crack me up.
Now, while we are on the subject of places to travel, I'd recommend seeing some of the National Parks. I don't think it matters which ones, becuase all of them are beautiful in thier own way. But, that would be my suggestion. ***Proud 2 be a Tony Stewart fan!***

Hi everyone.. thanks so much for the suggestions! some places sounds really attractive.. I sure hope that my bro and his friends visit the Four Corner Monument and do the little footie dance.. Bro & co had visited LA and LV before they went to Ohio, and they're working at Cedar Point theme park now until july. Thereafter, they'll start their tour around US before flying back to Singapore. The joy of bring a student! I'm not too sure what their actual plans are right now, but if I'm not wrong, Grand Canyon is definately in their list of must go place. and I'm sure that some of these suggestions will definately gets into their itinary too.. Thanks!

Sounds like they are having a great time! If they go to the Grand Canyon then they are not too far from the Four Corners and the other places in Arizona I recommended .. Sedona, Slide Rock, the ancient ruins, etc.

Hi Paula.. I think it went great! I know he went to many places, like NY, San Fran, Las Vegas, Yosemite national park, LA etc.. We saw from some video clips that he took at a San Fran pier.. I was amaze that to see the seals lying on the pier.. I hope it will be my turn to go US soon! quote: Originally posted by Paula: Hi Cressen.
