Most people who worked full time the whole year will get the max.. which is $600. I think anyone who has filed will get at least $300. So basically, what I am saying, if you file a tax return, in most cases it will be between 300 and 600. It may be a different combined amount for married filing jointly. Anyway.. I don't know for sure on this stuff, just interpreting what I think I read.

I know I just got a "in general" letter stating that even if the only income I received this year was SS Disability or VA Disability (Both are non taxable incomes) that I should still file this year to receive up to $300 back. From the letter that was sent to me, it looks like they are trying to help anyone who made under $150,000 last year.
I have to say I already filed and got my federal back but now I am all confused. I do get a VERY SMALL VA check every month but I did not include it when I filed. I never had to before because it wasn't taxable. Now I am wondering if I should have.
