Well it looks like McCain and Clinton in New Hampshire... (With Romney and Obama in second)... Romeny is focusing on Michigan next.. And he did win in Wyoming... Super Tuesday is coming up soon.. And I still don't know for sure who I will vote for.. I will be voting on the Rep. ballet in the Primary.. But it depends on who wins the nomination who I will be voting for in the actual election come November...

Yay for McCain. I don't trust him completely, but I trust Romney even less. I like Huckabee when I hear him talk. He seems intelligent and rational. Unfortunately that's the only thing I like about him. Trying to connect his speeches with this actual positions Does Not Compute. I just don't know. They all seem half insane when I look at their ideas and statements closely. Except for Richardson, who seems to have retained at least three-fourths sanity despite being a politician, and who has wholly no chance of winning anything. If any of the Dem front-runners have any brains they'll choose him as a running mate. [/disgruntled]

So I decided to see where I fall on the issues... So I took the VoteMatch Quiz... Anyway it breaks down some of the major issues for you and then lets you know who's views are most like your's.. Anyway you have to click on each of the issues so you know that you are picking the answer you want.. Cuz its easy to look at something and be like "I agree with that" but then when you look at how they are breaking it down, realize that you don't agree with it as much as you though...
Anyway when I took the test it told me that I should support:
53% Bill Richardson 48% John McCain 45% Brack Obama 45% Mike Huckabee 43% Alan Keyes 43$ John Cox 40% Joe Biden 40% Duncan Hunter 40% Ron Paul 40% John Edwards 40% Mitt Romney 38% Fred Thompson 33% Cynthia McKinney 33% Hillary Clinto 30% Rudy Giuliani 30% Mike Gravel 28% Dennis Kucinich 28% Chris Dodd (He dropped out already)
I honestly feel that by the end of this election, I will be so worn out by it, that I won't even care anymore who wins.. I will just want it to be over.. Interesting thing though.. Is that I don't think I could ethicly vote for either McCain or Huckabee, I'm sorry but according to the constitution, I have the right to be whatever religion I want, and both of those candidates have bashed my religion...

I really wanted to use that link you gave Jolie but the page refused to load, so I had to go with the other guy. I can not stand sites that push ad after ad. The only thing is the place I used only gives one person. It turned out as I had already decided before, Rudy Giuliani is my guy. Still it would be nice to try your quiz out. I hope maybe later.

They just announced on my local news that Bill Richardson is dropping out. I'm disappointed that he doesn't stay in longer, I think he would have much better luck when he got to the west coast. I've gained some respect for him in the past few years and although I don't agree with him on everything I think he is more competant then his party opponents.

Well this is how I'm starting to feel about politics...
I'm sick and tired of hearing things From uptight, shortsighted, narrow-minded hypocrites All I want is the truth Just gimme some truth
I've had enough of reading things By neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians All I want is the truth Just gimme some truth
No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son-of-tricky dick Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me With just a pocket full of hope Money for dope Money for rope
No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son-of-tricky dick Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me With just a pocket full of hope Money for dope Money for rope
I'm sick to death of seeing things From tight-lipped, condescending mama's little chauvinists All I want is the truth Just gimme some truth
I've had enough of watching scenes Of schizophrenic, egocentric, paranoic primadonnas All I want is the truth Just gimme the truth
No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son-of-tricky dick Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me With just a pocket full of hope Money for dope Money for rope
Ah, I'm sick and tired of hearing things From uptight, shortsighted, narrow-minded hypocrites All I want is the truth Just gimme some truth
I've had enough of reading things By neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians All I want is the truth Just gimme some truth

I really expect Richardson to be someone's running mate. We'll see what happens when a Dem front-runner emerges. That site Jolie posted is really simplistic, but I took their quiz, just for kicks: 58% McKinney (Green Party) 53% Kucinich (hmm...) 53% Dodd (gone) 48% Hillary 45% Gravel 43% Edwards 43% Obama 40% Biden 38% Richardson (gone) 33% Ron Paul 20% Giuliani 20% McCain 20% Alan Keyes 15% Cox 15% Huckabee 15% Thompson 10% Hunter (who?) 8% Romney The site also says I'm a "hardcore liberal," saying "A 'hard-core liberal' would answer personal questions to minimize government involvement, but would answer economic questions to include government intervention." But they seem to describe everyone as 'hardcore' something... and if I hadn't ever so slightly (by half a mark) matched better with "liberal" they would have called me a hardcore libertarian. Which is interesting since the same quiz says I like the Green party candidate, and Ron Paul is way down in the middle. I can't really make sense of any of it. LOL

Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee are coming here (my school) this weekend. I may go see Huckabee. I am not sure I could even get into the Obama event, because I wouldn't be able to get there until it's due to start.

I was really disappointed to see Romney back out of the race...or "put his campaign on hold" or whatever the announcement was captioned as.
Report back if you go see Huckabee Iris...

I went to an Obama rally a few weeks ago, it was pretty cool! He definitely knows how to captivate an audience.

I sure wish I could share in what other people seem to see in Obama but I just don't. He seems more like a celebrity then a politician. I have not heard him in person, only on TV.
I "get it" that he's says things that people want to hear and he comes forth with a positive attitude and all that. What I am not getting, is his message from my head to my heart. Theres something missing to me.

I was like you, Lisa. I didn't understand what people were going on about. But I'm starting to get the picture. It's not just the man himself, but the community he carries with him. His rhetoric includes reminders that people need to still be involved after the elections are over, that they're needed for more than just their votes. People like that. Being the upstart, he has also been able to be a tad more rebellious than the veteran politicians. That sets him apart, too. A bit odd, because "it takes a village" is supposedly Hillary Clinton's tag line. I'm still not going to vote for him-- I usually vote 3rd party just for the sake of dissent. Doesn't matter in my state, which always goes solid blue for the POTUS. But I'm starting to see why people look past his faults. Regardless, he should wear a hat more often. Boy howdy.

I was browsing over at SANET (a Sean Astin unofficial fansite), and found some cool pictures of Sean Astin campaigning for Hillary Clinton in Texas. This makes me very happy, as I adore Sean Astin, and have always viewed him as an inspiration to me right from childhood when I saw The Goonies, and later Rudy, and more recently the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, and many other films he's done. Another reason this makes me happy is that I truly believe Hillary Clinton could do a lot of good for the world if she were elected president and help find ways to make the world a better place, or at least a more equalitarian and tolerant one. Here's the YouTube video (which I can't actually make work on my computer): Here's some more news on the subject: http://wonkette. com/360967/inspirational-hobbit-saves-hillary-clintons-campaign****Actor Sean Astin, the delightful hobbit who once overcame his fears and saved Elijah Wood from the monsters, is now going to save Hillary Clinton from Mark Penn. Now that Hillary's losing major union endorsements in Ohio, she could use the warmth of a kindly hobbit. Astin delivered yesterday in Texas by yelling at a bunch of people in a court house.
Who knows what Hillary knows? The hobbit knows, the hobbit knows:**** Another source quotes Sean as saying: http://www.sanmarcosrecord.com/local/local_story_057114505.html****Accompanying her was Hollywood actor Sean Astin, who is best known for his role in The Goonies, Rudy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Astin, who called himself a political junkie, recently announced his official endorsement of Hillary Clinton. San Marcos was his first of four planned stops in Texas.
Astin said the first time he saw Clinton speak was when she was stumping for her husband during the Clinton-Gore campaign. He called her "electrifying" and that she held the crowd in the palm of her hand. He said he told his wife after Hillary Clinton's speech, "That woman's going to be president of the U.S. There's no question in my mind."
He said Clinton is more passionate and experienced than her Democratic opponent Barack Obama. He said whatever issue a voter cares about, Clinton has the ability to "move the pieces forward."
"I think that a second term or two of Clinton is the best thing that the country can have," Astin said.**** I support Hillary for president, even though I'm not from the US, but I always wondered why Sean himself hasn't thought of running for president. Someone else who would totally rock as president would be Val Kilmer. Cheers, Mikey

I saw that. Their response was basically, "Ha ha! Paris Hilton has a better energy plan than my opponent!" As reported by one blog, "what is this, a fifth grade election?"
