I've been playing it a lot lately, now that I have located my disc... Anyway I need to find the first disc for the Sims 2, so that I have it ready when the next expansion is released. It should be soon...

I'm very excited about the cars. All my Sims of course will have a nice car... I think that they should be allowed to be homeless and live in a beat up car too Wink

I also agree they need pets... And it would be nice to be able to hire a nanny that just lives at your house to take care of the kids (I mean but you can't control them, they just live there until the kids are grown and then leave)... And why are they all so old? I would like to have a young nanny for my Sims (and I think there should be some that are Male too...)

I find that it's best when playing to hire a nanny and when the nanny leaves to call them up again (I mean sometimes you have too much to do in the day and can't fit in the kid)... Not only that, but the babies are really hard to take care of (the toddlers not so much).... And I recommend having teenagers around to teach the Toddler who to talk, walk, and potty train them. (And that is best done with the age lock on Wink).

The nanny doesn't usually help me at all. Everytime I have a sim call her up all she does is stand there and hold them, jeesh. Haha, Maybe I'm just not doing something right.

I like getting the job promotions, too. I think its fun! Smile

Just don't let the nanny hang out at your house after her shift is over... She just gets in the way (I made that mistake one time.. I had to go into the buy mode, turn on the moveobjects cheat and delete her)...Roll Eyes

I'm so hopelessly behind now, having giving up my Sims playing for school (I was quite addicted and would never have been able to study!) I feel like I'll never be able to get back into it now.... there's TOO MUCH! ARRGGGHHH!!!

In my game, Mortimer died... (I play all the houses the people that came with the game and my own)... But the Grim Reaper all came and took Mortimer away... So I don't have to worry about scaring my people anymore Wink

BTW I love your avvy Wink

Jolie, are all the different topics you listed under the new expansion pack, or are they all different expansion packs?

I love the Sims, I haven't played as much since I started the new job, but I freaking love the game. I think I'll go home after work and start playing it. . .

They are all from Nightlife... I don't know why, but I like to make a lot of little posts instead of one great big one (I think that if there is more than one post in a new thread, people are more likely to respond, or so that has been how it usually happens lately).

Whew. . .I was worried. I read each thing and I was like "Oh, I want that!" Then I started adding up cost in my head and I paniced. Thank goodness it is just one expansion pack! Eddie's already mad at me for blowing $500 on work clothes last week. I would have had to have said "If you buy $500 in clothes, they throw in free Sims Expansion packs. . . " I don't think he'd believe that.

I know I'm digging up an old topic but the funniest thing happened yesterday! My 6 year old is starting to get more interested in computer games (he's starting a bit late compared to his older brother who's been a whiz since about 4 years old!) Anyway, he dug up my old Sims CD's... these are like the really old ones... Livin' Large. He "made himself some people" (he distributes the personality equally---such a Virgo!--- so they all have exactly the same personality) and moved a few into a house he liked.

Once he got going, we just let him click away ...can't read too well yet so it's sort of funny... while his older brother and I were watching football. Next thing you know, he's running into the mom, panicked and distressed! "Mommy, hurry! My people are burning up!" Sure enough! He'd set the kitchen on fire and killed the wife (or "the mommy" as he says) and had the husband just standing looking at the fire! We taught him to "extinguish" so he frantically clicks on all the fires and as soon as he gets one out, another one starts! Then the little boy comes home from school in the middle of it all and by that time "the daddy" had a bright red "thingie" swirling above his head! He had no clue how to fix it! Poor thing! His whole kitchen burned up and he was soooo upset!

We didn't save that game! LOL!

Hey Beach! That's a cute story.. My Nephew (he's 6) loves to watch me play the Sims.. He likes it when I'm decorating the houses... I haven't played the Sims in awhile... But I still get asked tons of questions about them by people at work... (I'm like the expert they think Wink)
