Hi again PaulaFlower Here we are, going into the All-Star break. Despite our amazing rookie point guard Chris Paul being out with multiple injuries, we have managed to claw our way to 29 and 23. Most people didn't think we would win 29 games the entire season, so I'm pretty proud of the Hornets. And praying for the playoffs, because I think it would be pretty cool to host two to three playoff games in Oklahoma City.

Congrats to the Hornets Betts! They beat the Seattle Supersonics today. I was happy they won! I have nothing against the Sonics but was happy for you and the Hornets. How close are they to the playoffs?

Sadly, the couple of weeks after the All-Star break were not very good for us. We fell, and Sacramento started winning. So they are currently two games ahead of us. They have to lose two, and we have to win two to tie. We hold the tiebreaker over them because we've beaten them every time we've played. We play them Sunday night in what could be the game that determines which one of us gets to go to the playoffs, but that will only happen if Sacramento loses one other game and we win ours. Ah well, last year the Hornets only had 18 wins, and this year we've 38 so far.

Well it's still possible! Good luck! And they can be proud of the improvement they have made over last year.

Is anyone watching the playoffs? If so, who are you rooting for? I'm having trouble rooting for anyone, because they were all Hornets adversaries during the regular season. I guess I'm rooting for the Mavericks the most.

I haven't watched much of the playoffs and don't really have a favorite. I haven't watched much NBA lately. But ... I can bet I will have a favorite team next year and that will be the team that is lucky enough to get my favorite NCAA player! I just hope they play him a lot.

The season is getting ready to start. I'm probably going to be in Atlanta for the first game, unfortunately, but I'm hoping not to miss any other games.

Hornets won their first road game in Boston against the Celtics! One down, 80 to go! I'm SO hoping we'll make the playoffs this year!

We're six and three and we beat the Pistons! It's a long season, though.

We beat the Heat last night (sans Shaq, so it's not quite as impressive a victory as it could be.....oh, and sorry Razz). It was a fun game, although no one was a high scorer except Dwayne Wade. He's really fun to watch, though.

We've lost 4 of our best players this season, sadly. We thought we were going to be playoff bound, and now we're wondering if we're going to get the first pick in the draft. Ah well. I still love going to games, but it's sad to see all these rookies and backup players struggling, especially since we're in the toughest division in the league.

Anybody been watching the playoffs this season? I've really been following the Jazz in the playoffs and I'm very happy they are doing so well. Once a Jazz fan always a Jazz fan, I guess. Smile

I've been watching the playoffs. Of course, the Hornets barely missed them. I'm a big Steve Nash fan, so I've been hoping the Suns do well. I don't know what's going to happen between the Jazz and the Warriors, luvs. Those first two games in SLC were SO close. I think you'd almost need a crystal ball to figure out who's going to win that series.

Bumping this up for Betts, don't think she saw it.

Maybe the Sonics will do better in Oklahoma. They just finished a disaster of a year.

I hadn't seen this Paula. Yes, it is possible the Sonics are moving to OKC, but it's still not a sure thing. I didn't want to mention it, because we all feel a little bad about getting another city's team. Not that I had anything to do with it, of course.

That's okay. I just hope they can improve, either way.

They're going to get a high draft pick, and I would think they would want to pick Derrick Rose, the point guard from Memphis, if they can get him. I've seen Beasley play, and he's a beast so would be a great option too. I think they're just trying to rebuild with a young team and will be fine in a couple of years.
