Ok all, here is the thread for the second week of the JPLm NASCAR challenge. This week’s race is at Dover International Speedway. This race will be broadcast on FOX and is scheduled to begin at 1 PM eastern time. So, be sure to have your picks in by then. I think what I’m going to do is allow people to make their picks up until the start of the race telecast, simply to encourage more people to get in the game (so to speak).
The past five winners of this event have been: 2006 – Matt Kenseth 2005 – Greg Biffle 2004 – Mark Martin 2003—Ryan Newman 2002 – Jimmie Johnson

Oh, that's a good pick, Paula. Matt has been running well lately and since he's a Rousch/Fenway car he's a pretty good pick for Dover since Rousch cars seem to run well there.

LOL Paula. I don't really know about that movie, but that looks silly.
I want #41 -- Reed Sorenson based on purely random reasons. I have known some good Reeds and some good Sorensons. And I also like the way the names sound together. Repeat it three times and hear the euphony! So since I know nothing about NASCAR, I may as well pick a driver for aesthetic reasons.

Oh, great pick, Arts! Reed is coming off a top five finish last week and has momentum on his side, so he's an excellent pick.

Paula, you are too funny. But, if you pick Ricky Bobby I think you'll need more than Tom Cruise and Oprah to help you out in the points.

This week's race is the Autism Speaks 400 and is a pretty important race in terms of helping bring awarness to Autism. And, driver Jamie McMurray will be driving the "Autism Awareness" car. And, I believe (I'm not 100% sure on this) that a lot if not most of the drivers will be carrying the autism awarness ribbon symbols on thier cars (I'll double check on that and get back to you all). Anyway, I just thought that that was very important info that I should share about this weekend's race.

Matt Kenseth is 17th in the line-up and his car is #17 and that is my lucky number so that is why I picked him.
