The Jasmine is blooming here and smells wonderful...so many neighbors have it on fence lines and mailboxes. Cardinals are fairly common here....I've never seen a grackle but makes me think of crows.

I just walked through the nursery today and smelled jasmine. It's not winter hardy here, so I've not planted it except in a planter, and it was out of the sun and never bloomed. I bought all sorts of annuals to put in my window boxes and pots. Tomorrow I will plant them.

I hurt my back a few days ago...bending at a weird angle trying to cut a limb...lesson for me...when something in your back starts pulling real bad, stop what your doing. I'm so stupid. Roll Eyes hehe anyway it's starting to feel a little better so I will be out there working again...with a little more caution. Smile

I haven't done that but I've dropped a stepping stone and a shovel on my toe. Can we call them sports injuries? Haha!

I'm growing marigolds at school for a project, and then we get to take them home!

I chose to do those 'cause when I was little I planted them with my mommy.

I think I said that, though lol

I can't wait to get my own place with my man and have a little garden to pretty. And then get a dog that will just ruin the whole thing. But still. I want a garden!

Haha Jana. I had to make a side yard for my flowers that is fenced off from my dog. She thought freshly dug flower beds were just the best thing ever for digging! I decided that dogs and big flower beds were mutually exclusive at my house withut some fencing. So that was my solution. I don't get mad at my dog, and I get to enjoy my flowers.

Remember last year when I was talking about my horrible yard being over taken by weeds??! Well I just had new sod laid over most of the yard and i couldn't be happier. I just hope it takes.

I do remember. Good luck with the sod. Your climate should make growing things easy, I'd think.

Gidg, Eric just rented out the carriage house, but still hasn't got a tenant for the main house. If you know anyone......Smile I thought of it because I was wondering how his sod is doing.

I need to stop by the house and look at it. I haven't seen it complete. And haven't seen the carriage house at all. Do you think I could go up the front porch as peek in? How much is he wanting to rent it for? I might just leave my house to the man and the kids and move into Eric's house.....it's a thought.

The sod is going well so far. We are watering the heck out of it. They said at least and hour each part every day. I can't wait to see my water bill next month!!! JOY!
Did I tell you man doesn't have a job!!! FUN!!!
