In anticipation of his concert this Friday at the Bakersfield Dome, The Bakersfield Californian interviewed Jon. Erik Loyd is the interviewer, and the site includes a link to a bit of the audio from the interview. Although the audio clip closely coincides with the transcript, it does contain a few differences.

The biggest highlights include:
"There will be a lot of touring happening. I will be playing a lot of shows from now till then. Most of our touring plans are actually during the summertime, but you can count on us being out and playing a lot of shows. I also have a thing with MTV.com that I'm going to be doing. Basically, it's a review of "American Idol" on a weekly basis."


"His debut album, "Stories from Hollywood," was released online Nov. 7 and will be available in stores in a few months."

Hadn't we heard about this MTV show before? Still very cool, and something that will make following American Idol more enjoyable. And I'm hoping stores means Target will have him on their new music end cap soon. I think that's a great way to obtain a wider audience. I've noticed those CDs definitely move off the shelves.
