Jon was featured in a story on The Today Show airing June 11th. NBC talked to Jon about Idol camp and showed him performing with the campers. He sang the very popular song "Rodeo" from his debut album, and the kids loved it!

Awesome. Thanks Arts. Wish they showed him singing something other than Rodeo though. Not my favorite vocal performance from him. *shrugs* oh well....at least he is having fun and how nice that NBC picked him as one to interview (along with Carmen). Just goes to show you he is remembered and well liked.

Gee, that was wonderful. I am still cheesing. I want JPL to be my camp counselor!!! ROTFWL! Seriously though now I really do wish I was like 15 again, that place looks like fun.
That is a great song for Jon's voice. The video was nice and all, but was it bad that I was watching it thinking...."tell that girl to be quiet so I can hear Jon sing!"
This is a brief interview of Jon at Idol Camp. Apparently, this Kansas City Fox station posted a bunch of video from a camper. In order to have the right video come up correctly, for some reason, I had to watch all of them on this page.
Maybe all of you won't have to play all the videos and can just get Jon's to play on its own. Good luck.

Thanks Arts it was annoying to get it to work but when I did I was like lol~ He was “helping to propagate the Idol mark brand”. He can be so catty but it rocks!
Although this is not a video, I'm going to put it here since it is media from camp. This photo of Jon and a camper is the avatar of the camper's mom over on the AI forum. Jon seems to be relaxed and happy at camp.

What is very interesting to me about this photo with Jon is that it is on Ayla Brown's site, yet it is the photo from camp that has the most views, close to 70. And it can't have gotten so many more views because Ayla is in it. Ayla is in ALL of these. It can't have gotten all these views because Vonzell is it. Vonzell is in another photo that only has 42 views. The only explanation I can figure for the disproportionately large number of views of this photo with Jon is that people really want to see a good shot of Vonzell's lovely purse.
(Just so y'all know, the photo was leading like this before I found it tonight. Must be the purse.)
