AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 3 FINALIST JON PETER LEWIS RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM
LOS ANGELES - Jon Peter Lewis called for “a little less conversation, a little more action,” on his star-making 2004 American Idol turn, and today, he’s heeding that advice. JPL is primed for a major pop breakthrough courtesy of sophomore album "Break the Silence", slated to drop in May. The first single is the title track, an assured, infectious mid-tempo cut that recalls equal parts Ben Folds, Duncan Sheik and vintage Beatles.
Emotionally charged and overflowing with brainy pop hooks, “Break The Silence” finds Lewis offering the offbeat wit and inviting persona that made him an Idol cult favorite. Produced by Chris Garcia (Santana, Michelle Branch) and featuring the talents of drummer Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, Indigo Girls) and guitarist Nick Lashley (Alanis Morissette, Natasha Bedingfield), "Break The Silence" is the sound of a talented young artist on the rise.

As usual, I can't get Jon's song to play on my computer.
I hope it will be released as a CD single in the same way If I Go Away and Man Like Me were, and later followed by the full album on CD like Stories From Hollywood was.
I love Jon's music and I am eager to hear the new song, but I hope there will be a way for people whose computers don't like them to still buy the song.
That also goes for Jon's music video he mentioned. I hope there will be other ways to see it other than downloads. It would be great to have live concert DVDs or music video DVDs of Jon's, but in the meantime, I know I would buy a DVD single just for even one song of Jon's!
Wonderful Jon! To date, this is probably your song that most matches what I hear on the radio. From the first time I heard it, I was struck by its smoothness, its lack of anything at all jarring. It has an extremely current sound while still highlighting the clarity and emotional power of your voice.
My daughter is quite keyed into what is hot on the radio, and I had her listen to the song because I wanted to prove a completely separate point about it. Before she agreed with that point, she matter-of-factly said, "Now see Mom, that song sounds like something I'd hear on the radio." That is high praise coming from her.
If you are making a music video of this, will it have you shattering and breaking any glass windows? Please?????????????? I swear I hear the faint suggestion of tinkling glass right after both times you sing about each of you saying the words "I love you" and then again almost near the end. If you can smash a VCR, surely you can shatter some glass for art's sake!
