I wondered if you would post here ewespecial. I really haven't heard her sing much...I think I missed her audition. It is fun to have someone who's really from Oklahoma, so I'll have to root for her, at least initially. I'm not a big fan of country music, although I liked Josh Gracin when he was on the show.
I thought Carrie did very well with her first full song. And Simon pegged her right when he said something about her knowing what she is all about. I think that was part of what made me like Jon--he knew who he was and wasn't phoney. Carrie sang with expressiveness and quiet confidence.

I thought she did very well last night but like Betts, I'm not a fan of country music...I need to see how she does with other styles. I didn't vote last night.

I love farmers too! I married a spud farmer boy! Of course, if he had tried to move this city girl with her romatic notions about farm life onto a real farm, I probably would have lasted about 2 days. I do think that sometimes farmers have some very solid values because they are in touch with reality in a way that city dwellers are not. There is a big difference between coming home from school to milk a cow that HAS to be milked and coming home to be shuttled to soccer practice.

Carrie did very well last night, she seems to be Simon's favorite. Her voice is beautiful, I'm looking forward to hearing her sing different types of songs.
I think she is very good singer, but I think she lied about the "farmer thing". I have a friend I go to school with and he is from Checotah, Oklahoma, and he knows Carrie Underwood. He told me that she probably never got dirt underneath her fingernails. But I don't know, thats just what he told me. Anywho, she has an awesome voice and I hope she goes far!
