Love Fantasia. I was rooting for her to win. (Yes, instead of Jon. ) I think her CD will do well. I hope it does. Unfortunately, the awful songwriting does her a disservice, much like what happened to Clay. The clowns at 19E don't know much about producing "good" music. That "Baby Mama" song is A-W-F-U-L. "Selfish," on the other hand, had a good beat.
Just had to say that I watched Fantasia's performance on the AMA's and if anybody needs proof as to why she won, her performance tonight speeks for it self! Fantasia's performance was fantastic, tonight! Now I really can't wait for here CD!

I thought it was a good performance, I hated the song though.

I watched that before I went to bed. Her song wasn't THAT Great. Kind cheesy, like Rube's first CD. But I was listening to clips from her cd, and most of them were really good
Was nice to see Fantasia on the AMA. She has talent and puts a lot of herself into her music. I didn't care much for the song she sang last night. I understand that is to be her new single. She was lucky to be able to promote it in this way. Good for her.
Her new CD is a perfect example of why it's good Jon didn't win Idol. This is cheese taken to a new level. Fantasia has such a unique style and personality, yet they crammed her into the most commercial songs I've ever heard. All of the spelling lyrics? Goodness. I agree, paperock. It is ridiculous how the "Idol" people have taken very talented people and more or less "ruined" their uniqueness by making them conform to a pure "pop" standard. Given what the "Idol management" has doen to Kelly, Ruben, Clay (on his first cd) and Fantasia, I am VERY tankful that Jon didn't win AI.
I've listened to Fantasia's CD, and although it's not as good as I hoped, I think the songs are catchy, not as bad as Rube's cake song, and she has some on there that really suit her voice. Of course, they're the covers, but they fit her, and that's the direction I hope she takes in the future. I never expected her first CD to be wonderful, I think she has (potentially) the most longevity of any Idol contestant, and somewhere down the line, she WILL make wonderful CDs.
I still love her, and will still buy her CD on the first day.
I haven't taken the time to listen to anything on Fantasia's CD other that "I Believe" and "Summertime," BUT I can only imagine that her first CD is going to be a lot like Ruben's first CD. I just saw Ruben's new CD at the store the other night, and I think that I will buy it..but back to Fantasia...I think she has an amazing voice, and I may buy her CD. When I saw her in concert, I thought that she was an amazing, passionate, and sincere performer.
