My friend goes to BYU soooo I told him about JPL in Salt Lake City next week. Maybe he'll go and get me something :] haha this will prove how much he loves and misses me.
It was great! I was a little late due to unexpected traffic, but it was worth going. I walked in to hear his voice booming in the rafters of the store. Just Jon and the guitar, they way I like it best! There were about 15 people listening and employees too. Wahoo was there and it was really nice to see her. Jon played until about 6:30pm and then was signing autographs until 7pm. I stayed for about 10 min to chat and get my CD signed. I think everyone that heard him sing bought the album, I'm not even kidding! And it was a wide range of people there was a family with young girls (maybe 12 & 14), a middle-aged woman, an older woman, a guy in his mid-20's, 3 college-age girls, a middle-aged man, Judy his manager, Wahoo, me and some employees (more people I can't remember). All but the 3 college age girls waited to talk to him and get the album signed (those girls picked up an album and took it to the front to purchase).
It was also nice to talk to Jon. He said he was zonked from all he's been doing. He's had like 3 interviews that morning plus had been working the AI audition line. He performed well though! I had fun!
hey, Orange...thanks for posting the great vid! you rock! i love his performance of this song EVERY SINGLE TIME...LOL! he does look pretty tired out there. talk about your long days! great that everyone that came bought an album. how could you resist?
glad you had fun and got to see Wahoo. how is she doing? i see her pop on the boards once in a bit, but haven't had the chance to chat with her for a while.

Who is going to the Niagara Falls show???? I know Jon has fans up that way. It should be a really great show. I like Jon Mclaughlin's music very much. I hear his "Beautiful Disaster" often on the radio. Eddie Money is quite famous. And Jon is spectacular. It's an exceptionally solid line-up. To top it off, you get to see the breathtaking Niagara Falls!

Here's some more details on the Hard Rock Cafe show by the Niagara Gazette:
"Niagara Falls tourism enthusiasts have sky-high expectations for this weekend thanks to tonight’s free Eddie Money outdoor concert downtown....The show is expected to draw anywhere between 4,000 to 8,000 people downtown, a needed shot in the arm for businesses. Various vendors will be set up, including a beer truck, and the Hard Rock also will be selling food outside."
Hi! I'm pretty much new here, but I went to the show in Niagara Falls. It was a great show, and Jon played an awesome set. I have some pictures and a video to share too (:
No problem! I definitely had to share them with other fans.
I really liked hearing "Beautiful" since it's one of my favorites off the album. I have to admit though, "Hey Ya" reminded me of the American Idol tour!
Jon McLaughlin was very good! He was the main reason I went to the show since I've been a fan of his for a few years now, but it was even better that JPL was there too. I had to leave after about 3 songs from Eddie Money, but from that short time it was pretty good too
Thanks for the photos and video sportzgirl! And welcome to Jon's site! Those photos turned out really well. What kind of camera do you have? I was also at this show. I often need to travel to Pennsylvania, so it wasn't especially much further to get to Niagara Falls. Did I see you there, sportzgirl? I know that after I got done talking to Jon, someone else came up and spoke to him. Could that have been you? I then drifted off to hear Jon Mclaughlin. I was very, very impressed by Jon M. He played the piano like another Elton John or Ben Folds, and his voice was terrific too. I count myself as his fan now for sure. I listened to some of Eddie Money, but left to go see the Falls and meet my family before it got too late. I also have some video from the show, but I have been so busy that I'm behind on dealing with other video I have.
I'll try to give a fuller concert report later and then get my video up too. I will say that the crowd responded enthusiastically to JPL. I tried to find where they were selling his CDs and Jon M.'s. I already have JPL's, but would have bought Jon's M.'s if I could have found where they were selling CDs. All I saw was Eddie Money stuff. I had also hoped that both JPL and Jon M. would be more available to meet fans and would be selling CDs. Sportzgirl, did you ever get to talk to Jon M? It seemed as if the VIP tent swallowed up the performers, but I wasn't around at the end of the whole show, so maybe JPL and Jon M. were in the crowd then. As I headed back to the car from the Falls, the show was already over and most of the crowd had left. I still didn't see sales for JPL or Jon M.
