Is Phoenix's Rhythm Room in New Mexico like it says in the bulletin on the front page of Jon's site, or in Arizona like it says on the Rhythm Room website that Arts linked us to?
Either way, I won't be able to make it, as much as I'd love to be there...
However, Val Kilmer lives in New Mexico - and if the venue on the front page is correct - I wonder if I can talk Val into going to see Jon perform live! Can't hurt to try, Val might be busy as he often is, but this is something I just have to try!
Sorry for the double post, but here is a message I just sent to Val. If he's able to reply, given his busy schedule, I'll let you know.
****Hey Val
I hope you don't mind my asking this, but a musician friend of mine, Jon Peter Lewis, is reportedly playing a gig in New Mexico on March 30, and since you live in New Mexico, I thought you might be interested in seeing Jon live. I'm not sure if you've had time to read my [countless] posts and bulletins praising his awesome talent and friendly nature, but he's someone I truly believe in and want to see succeed in any way I can.
There is one *small problem* however, there seems to be a discrepancy in venue locations. The main bulletin from Jon's page reads the following:
****1/23/08: See Jon Peter Lewis appearing with the Nadas
See Jon Peter Lewis appearing along with the Nadas, another great Authentic Records band, at these locations:
03/26/2008 - 'The Velour' in Provo, Utah 03/30/2008 - 'The Rhythm Room' in Phoenix, New Mexico****
Now, despite being from the other side of the world, I was sure Phoenix was in Arizona, not New Mexico. Sure enough, when I looked up the website I was linked to, the bulletin definitely said the Rhythm Room was in Arizona.
If it is Arizona, as I strongly suspect, perhaps Jon will be available to play in New Mexico sometime.

Opening Set By
JON PETER LEWIS****
I'm slightly confused, but oh well, I thought it would be fun to share.
Regardless of the correct venue, Jon will most likely be introducing some new songs from his forthcoming second album "Break The Silence" to be released on May 6. "Stories From Hollywood", Jon's debut release from November 2006 is awesome. It's one of my favourite albums and one of the particularly fan favourite songs, "Rodeo" is such a satirically cheeky and humorous song. Jon's a great songwriter and guitarist as well as vocalist, and it would be great if you two got together to collaborate on a project in the future.
You're such a fabulous person yourself, Val, both in talent and personality, and not only would you be helping support a friend of mine, but you would enjoy Jon's music and get a chance to see him perform live - which, unless Jon comes to Australia, I might not get a chance to see for quite some time.
I realise how busy you are and you might not be able to fit this into your schedule, but you know me, I can't resist trying to bring great people together if I can. I'm as dedicated to Jon's Street Team as I am to yours, and it just seemed like a fun idea to combine both.
Whatever may happen, I adore you guys and will support you both. It's fun for me, and makes me feel like I am contributing something valuable to the world, and helping people like you guys makes me happy and inspires me with my own creative endeavours. I'll never be the brilliant actor you are, and as for singing like you and Jon, my voice (well, let's not even go there...), but if my writing is helpful to you guys, then I offer it wholeheartedly.
Cheers, Michael****
I hope I'm not interfering too much here, but I thought it would be great to have Val see one of Jon's live shows and maybe they can collaborate someday.

Just FYI, Jon has played in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area before, once or twice, I think. ?

I did receive a reply from Val, which was really sweet considering how busy he is. He won't be able to make Jon's performance, but he said the following:
****Thank you for everything. I will be filming at that time so will not be able to attend. I appreciate all you do,
peace, val****
Also, I hope I wasn't too rude in pointing out the little error on the front page.
On March 25, Jon will be in Orem, UT to sing the National Anthem for the Utah Valley State College (UVSC) vs. Utah baseball at the UVSC campus. It appears that this game might stream, though sometimes such streams don't include the anthem. When it is game time, scroll down to March 25 and then click on the "GT" button. I don't know when game time is, however. I'll try to find out.

Remember that Jon singing the National Anthem may stream today. The game starts at 9 Eastern, 7 Mountain, but you would be wise to tune in earlier than that.

Well, that link I gave for the UVSC game turned out not to be a stream at all, just a place where scores, etc. get posted as the game goes on. Some folks clearly don't know what is important in life! Utah Valley State College really ought to invite Jon back for a full concert.

Last night was a lot of fun! Jon was definitely the headliner of the evening. Playing with him were Stewart on drums and Austin on bass.
The show started at 8:30pm with Katie Brandeburg, a local girl, singing and playing guitar for about 30 min. She was very enjoyable, check out her myspace.
Next were the Nadas and they played for about 30 min also and really picked things up, I like these guys!
Now it was time for Jon and he played about an hour. You'll be happy to know I even tried to write down all the songs he played (they could be off due to misunderstanding, lol!).
1. Not Obstructed By a Fall 2. Now That I'm New (or Now That I'm Near You) 3. Break the Silence 4. Beautiful 5. I don't know the name, but I do know the drummer played the Glokenspiel 6. Stewart calls this song "The Obama Song" 7. Stand By Me - this was awesome, he got his brothers Curtis and Christian up on stage to sing with him. 8. You're Beautiful Tonight 9. I Am So Amazed With You 10. Gypsy Queen 11. Burning in Hello 12. Everybody Falls Sometimes (really smooth, a new favorite of mine!).
I tried for an encore with no luck, but it was 11pm by now with still one more band to play. Donnie Bonelli and the Kites played last. I only stayed for two songs and they sounded good, but I was tired! Michelle at the front told me they would play for about 30 min, they are a local band and she really likes them. I'll have to check out their website.
Michelle asked everyone at the door who they were there to see and tallied the responses. Before I left she let me look at the stats. Of about 75 people there 33 came to see JPL, 33 for Donnie Bonelli, 4 for the Nadas, 5 (I think) for Katie and 2 for both Katie and Donnie. I think that's a pretty good turnout! It was a wonderful show!
Thanks for the report Orange! And I'm proud of you for writing down all the song names. And the glokenspiel, really?? That sounds mighty cool, though it kind of depends on what the song was. Can you describe the song at all? Which was your least favorite song? Did you manage to get any video? I wanna hear Jon sing with bells! That's awesome. And totally rad too. Did you get a chance to talk to Jon or anyone? Jon did "Everybody Falls" at the Longwood show too, and I really liked it. The song is by Matt Stamm, who also has a good voice. When you go to that link, the song should be the first one to play. Was the Obama song the one that supports Obama that has been in the news? Or some other song that is somehow associated with Obama?

I never added that on March 27, tonight, Jon will perform with the Nadas at Monterey Live in Monterey CA. The time appears to be 9:30, though it could be as early as 8:00. Show is for ages 21 and over. Price is $15.

Some professional quality photos from the Velour concert by Kenneth Hoglund, who met Jon at the UVSC game. That's Jon and his brothers in photo 10. Jon is also in photos 9 and 4.
