A new PR release promoting Jon's Bakersfield Dome concert is showing up at all kinds of sites, including the News Page of American Idol and the Yahoo News page. Here is the show info:
Show Information:

The Bakersfield Dome 2201 V St. Bakersfield, CA
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Show at 7:00pm
Tickets $15 All Ages
Tickets available online: djnentertainment.com
In Stores: Stockdale Music, Front Porch Music

You can see a very nice promotional poster for this event at the following link. I hope this poster is showing up around the Bakersfield area:

http://www.djnentertainment.com/index2.htm

The press release as seen on most sites, such as yahoo, includes some background info on Jon and on what else he is doing. But here is the Press Release as shown on the American Idol site. It is really good that there are even links there to Jon singing live, especially to the "Fox & Friends" performance:

"The Jon Peter Lewis is Rockin' The Holidays

Jon Peter Lewis will be headlining the holiday show, 'Rockin' the Holidays!' at the Bakersfield Dome on December 22nd, 2006. Jon will perform songs from his just released debut album, Stories From Hollywood, as well as his latest original Christmas tune 'California Christmas.' The newly released holiday song is being called 'an instant classic' by Chuck Taylor of Billboard magazine.

The high-energy show will feature a mix of Jon's rock and roll songs including the popular 'Man From Amsterdam' and 'Gypsy Queen,' as well as intimate acoustic tracks, such as 'Man Like Me' and 'Amanda Grace.' Jon's explosive band includes 'some of the most talented musicians in the business,' according to Hollywood music producer David Rolfe.

Jon has been playing shows across the country, including a December return engagement to the world-renowned Viper Room in Hollywood, California. Jon will also be playing a special holiday acoustic show in Salt Lake City at Kilby Court on December 19th. On Christmas Eve Jon will be performing live on PBS, during KCET's broadcast of the 47th annual Holiday Celebration at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, California.

Watch Jon's latest live broadcast performances on Fox TV:

Fox 10 Interview & Live Performance 'Rodeo'

Fox & Friends Live Performance 'Man Like Me'"

Now isn't that an excellent poster? Wouldn't that grab your attention if you saw that in a music store or grocery store or library or restaurant? Let's hope that somebody or other got these posted around or paid a kid a few dollars to do it. Dollars invested in advertising come back if done properly.

The Bakesfield Dome is a rather large venue, and Jon is the headliner, so it is important to attract a big crowd. THIS is what Jon will see from the stage. The Dome holds over 1,600 people. How wonderful if the place fills up.

The Bakersfield Dome serves many functions, and since Jon is multi-talented and multi-faceted, he ought to make good use of the place while he is there. So after the concert, he may as well rearrange the place and get in some WRESTLING. And after that, why not get married too?

Ah well. Might be a bit much to do in one day, since Jon is not a bird or a plane, just a shirt and tie looking around for his Lois Lane.

So best wishes on the concert Jon! Pack the place with people and then fill it with incomparable music.

I've looked for a review of the show, but am not finding anything. Do we have any lurkers who went to the show? I'd love to hear a personal review or read a written one.

I want to hear a report too. I would imagine there were plenty of people there who could let us know what Jon sang and how it all went.

We drove from Los Angeles and got there... thought we were late but got there just right on time.
So I decided to come out of lurking for just a little bit to share some stuff with you.

For now here's a videoSmile

Thanks so much Stephie! Glad you were able to go and post about it for us. And thanks for the video as well. Were there a lot of people there?

Hope you come by and chat when you have time.

Thanks very much for coming out of lurking in order to share your video. That is generous of you. First, it took some work to load it up on YouTube, and then I wouldn't have known to look there if you hadn't told us. Jon sounded terrific on this. Really great. And it is understandable that you may not want to write a review in the form of an essay or anything. Writing is painful and annoying sometimes! So here are some quick questions that I have been wondering about.

1. Was the Dome pretty much full of people?

2. Did the crowd seem enthusiastic?

3. Did you happen to see if there were posters for the show up in town or other advertising for the show?

4. Did Jon sing any songs that you recognized as new? If so, do you remember what they sounded like and anything else about them? And/or what was your favorite song he did?

5. Did you get a chance to talk to Jon? Did he spend time with the crowd at all?

Thanks stephie! And welcome to you! Feel free to ask questions about anything you want to know. People will try to help you if they can.

No problem at all.
I have more videos Smile So I'll have to start uploading those.

Did ya have fun?
Yes I had a lot of fun! Not the ride there though... there was so much traffic. I forgot it was a Friday... so it took over 2 hours to get there. We got into the door and saw him performing and he introduced himself ...we thought he was introducing himself one last time and we were bummed but atleast we made it for one performance. It turned out he just started Smile

Were there a lot of people there?
There were at least 30 people there I would say.

2. Did the crowd seem enthusiastic?
Yes overall. As he started to end his set more people began to loosen up and move a little bit.

3. Did you happen to see if there were posters for the show up in town or other advertising for the show?
I didn't see any on my drive there, but then again I'm not from there... so I can't answer that question.

4. Did Jon sing any songs that you recognized as new? If so, do you remember what they sounded like and anything else about them? And/or what was your favorite song he did?
He didn't sing any new songs, most songs were from the cd! Smile He sang about 10 songs. I'm not sure if we arrived there as he was singing his first song or second song.

5. Did you get a chance to talk to Jon? Did he spend time with the crowd at all?
Yes we waited after the show and was able to talk to him. He spent time with his fans. One fan was taking a picture of herself and Jon with her camera phone... and I saw that all she was getting was the top of their heads... so i hopped over and asked if she wanted me to take it. Jon was like " YEAHHH she can take it!"

To be honest, I wasn't that BIG of a fan... I was a fan... I liked his music but this show made me a bigger fan. My friend was the one who got me into his music. I've met him twice before but never once saw him perform live so this was great! He walked over to us and I told him how we were afraid we would arrive late and not be able to see him perform since we came from Los Angeles. He then said, " Oh my gosh! You came all the way from there?" and pulled us both in for a hug. He called over his friend and told him too haha. So he then said, " We should get some pictures together! or something"

Funny story... so my friend... she kept telling me on the ride that she knew I was going to tell Jon that she was his superfan on the Ryan Seacrest show and that she would hate me forever if I told him. I agreed not to... but how could i resist? So as she was taking a picture of Jon and I... I decided to whisper to him ever so cleverly...but it was very OBVIOUS ... oh wells haha. I said something like, "she would kill me if i told you this but i just have to...but you may know her from somewhere..." mind you whispering very quickly!... He goes..." Well I've been thinking to myself I know her from somewhere but i can't remember for the life of me..." and then i go..."ryan seacrest show .." and that's when you get this picture of him. He immediately says " Take another one! I was dumbfounded for a second.." Then he just shakes his finger at her and smirks and pulls her in for another hug haha. She may hate me but hey it was worth it.

He also said how he was working on getting more all ages show in California...possibly the Troubadour! (great venue Smile ) He's obligated to do a couple more Viper Room shows though. He says he has some big things in store so that's always a good thing!

I think that's all... Wow that is a lot of reading... sorry. I'm bad at condensing information into small portions. Here are some pictures as I try to get more videos up.

Thanks for the information! I enjoyed reading about the show. And the pictures are great! That last one of Jon is kind of funny, lol.

Did you see any of the other performers? I thought this show would be bigger than 30+ people. He sang both of his Christmas songs, right?

No Stephie, in no way was that too long. You have to remember most of us Love Jon. So you can never tell us enough about him. Wink Esp. when it comes to what is going on at one of his shows since not all of us can make it out to them. Thank you for giving us all the info and the pictures and I know I can't wait for more video. Thank you again.
