Jon will perform 2 acoustic shows in March. The first is on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. at the Heart, Mind, Soul Club. In addition to their main website, they also have a MySpace. The address is 669 Pioneer Rd Rexburg, Idaho. Cost is $6.
Jon will perform another acoustic show on Friday, March 30 at 8:00 p.m. at Club Velour, 135 N. University Avenue, Provo, Utah. Cost is $6. David Hopkins will also perform that night. Velour has a MySpace..

The 30th you say? Do you know if that's an all ages thing or just 21 and older?
Because.. if that date holds, I may need to look into some things, but that date may actually be feasible for me if I can work out a few things since it's right at the beginning of my spring break. But, I'm not going to get my hopes up yet, as these things never seem to work out for me. LOL
Just to be clear, these shows are on 2 different weekends. However, the Provo show is the easier one for people to get to because it is only 45 minutes or so from the Salt Lake City airport.
I believe the Velour show in Provo would be open to all ages since they do not serve any alcohol at the venue. Likewise, the Heart, Mind, and Soul club serves no alcohol and is also open to all ages, although they do expect anyone under 18 to be accompanied by someone over 18. The venue side of the club will open at about 7:30 for people to enter. Someone else will open for Jon, and then Jon will take the stage at approximately 8:30.

You know, I'm on break from school on the 23rd. wouldn't it be fun to try to arrange a road trip? (odds of this happening 100:1, but still a fun thought)
I'm not too likely to go, but I'll see. I wish I knew whether Jon has any liklihood of performing this same show closer to me. But if my life is more under control, and I can purchase a cheap ticket somehow about a week before the show, I'll consider it. Does anyone know if there are ways to buy cheap plane tickets at the last minute?

OK I forgot I had training for work today and tomorrow, so I don't get to go to Bear Lake or Rexburg, I'm so bummed!
BUT I realized my mom and dad will be up there for a funeral (unfortunately) and I'm trying to convince them to go in my stead. I think they'll enjoy and hopefully I could even get them to take some video for me to enjoy back home.
Awww, sorry you can't go to the shows Orange. I'm not making the trip to Rex this time, but I'll be in Provo next week for sure. If this is anything like his last "acoustic" show....I'll be in heaven!
I haven't been posting much for a number of reasons, but I'm sad to hear you can't go Orange. And I have been thinking that you must have unusual parents since the typical person from an older generation isn't too much into rock, etc.
Wahoo, I'm happy to hear you get to go. You'll come give a report, right? Be on the lookout for newspaper articles too. How are you doing, wahoo, besides almost being in heaven?

Awwwww JLP. That is such a shame. How are you? Busy? I've gotten much more busy lately, or I might have contacted you directly. I think Jon will be doing lots of things as AI heats up and as he begins the spring and summer tour season, so keep an eye on both the forum and the community news page. I guess there was nothing in the school paper then? Are you not his friend on MySpace? He sent out a bulletin about the show, I think, but I can't remember for sure. Maybe not. I'm surprised that word of mouth isn't better up there in Rexburg. You tend to be plugged in with the very people whom I'd expect would be talking about this show.

My parents weren't able to go, but I only suggested it because he was doing an acoustic show. I would never recommend my parents see Jon with his band, they are much like you Arts (my mom is even a school teacher).
I'm going to do my darndest to get to Provo tomorrow. Rich's reunion is in Taylorsville about 45 min from Provo and I'm taking a separate car so that as soon as the reunion is over I can call Wahoo (expect a call) and see if I'd have time to make it before Jon's show was over. Since there's an opening act I think I may have a chance. Wish me luck!
That is a great video! Jon looks and sounds really good!
