I am so excited about going to this now. Here first is the shocking news.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE TRAVELING LONG DISTANCE:
JON TAKES THE STAGE AT 1 PM!
I just got off the phone with Juliann at Labette College and here is what she told me:
This event is the College's annual "Spring Fling". It is a day for local area Juniors/Seniors to come out and take a look at the school. In honor of special guest, former American Idol contestant "Jon Peter Lewis, the theme this year will be American Idol.
Music activities including karaoke and a chance to listen to a local rock band are to be had. Our very own JPL will close out the event with a concert at 1pm.
The college is expected to be packed!!! In fact I was told they will have to close the doors after 249 people have entered the auditorium.
Another really CUTE side note. Some local elementary school second graders REALLY want to met JP but so many are expected to attend that they don't think they will have room to fit the kids. So by what I was told, they plan on taking Jon to see them at their school.

The whole event runs from 10am to 1pm, again meaning Jon closes it out STARTING at 1pm.
Very fun! And Jon gets to entertain 2nd graders? haha.. that would be fun to watch. So they would have been approximately 3 years old when he was on Idol.
So, why does the auditorium only hold 249 people?

Fire code I think is what she said. I'm heading out early! Like 4 am early. I hope I remember to take out my camera this time. I'll tell you guys how it turns out.
