So you want to catch Jon's concert on Friday, May 4 at B.B. King's in Universal City, but you don't live in L.A.? Not a problem. Jon's performance will stream on the club's website. The show is scheduled to start at about 8:00 p.m., Pacific time.
I am trying to get more info on how this will work, and will let you know what I find out.

Sounds great! I don't know if I'll be home in time to hear it as I have things to do that night, but I'll try.

I have looked into this, and I think maybe this stream includes video as well as audio. I haven't been clear about that, but Jon's MySpace bulletin does seem to indicate people can "see" them live. And then I found this website that also indicates people see concerts on B. B. King's site. From this write-up about the venue, I am very excited for Jon:
"B.B. King's Universal CityWalk caters to the needs of everyone that performs there, and the club's all inclusive attitudes about musical performers has created a magnificent venue that is open to great music of all genres. Their state of the art facility and sound system, along with their 'growing fans for bands- philosophy attracts musical artists from every corner or the world, especially those looking to build and develop a large and loyal fan base. With the addition of a new innovative web site, featuring cutting edge live web streaming, artists can now have their performances seen in real time all over the world. An appearance on B.B. King's stage is an event that every artist truly remembers."
So I hope everyone can really hear AND see the show. I know so many of you live in places where you haven't been able to see Jon perform.

Hopefully someone will be able to post a video of this live stream on this site so we can all see it later because I wont be able to see it live.

Lisa, you would be a heroine if you could figure out how to make the stream available to everyone. Various concert clips are posted over on www.jonnythecockaroo.com, but we have never had an entire concert, and with the exception of the professional ones Jon had done, the quality of clips varies from poor (such as my Provo clips ) to flawed in various ways. I hope that this stream will be pretty high quality, whether it is just audio or video too.

Do you mean the stream won't be available to everyone? I thought I would be clicking on something and "presto" there it it!! I'm a little confused now I just meant hook my computer up to my TV because the screen is bigger???
I beleive California is three hours behind the east coast. So wouldn't that make it 11 PM east coast time? I know I'm one hour ahead of CA so that would be 9 pm when it's on here. I guess it's best to double check it I would hate to miss it because of time zones. I wish we were all just on the same time zone!!!!
I suggest tuning in earlier than 8:00 Pacific since times like that are flexible. It is also a good idea to try to tune in early in case you have issues with the player. Check the forum here too so we can help one another with any problems that arise.
And yes, this would be 11:00 Eastern, 10:00 Central, and 9:00 Mountain.

I had called the venue yesterday, since nothing really shows on the page. They assured me that was the right link. If there is a warm-up band before Jon, they may not even turn on their high-tech equipment until an hour from now.
