That's awesome. I was at Borders the other day and heard a singer in there....it was nice. I would love to go in and hear Jon singing!!!

Borders is cool. They host a bunch of cool things for the community here.

Gidget, what exactly do singers tend to do when they perform there? Was the singer you saw also selling albums then and signing them? Is dancing allowed? LOL

Thanks Callie. These have got to be acoustic shows anyway, and those songs aren't as danceable, but I just was having a fun image in my head of people prancing around a bookstore to the music. Bookstores always strike me as pretty quiet, sedate places.

But if there is room, as you say there might be, then some people might dance a bit.

Sorry arts, I haven't been back to this thread since that day. Opps...anyway...I didn't actually see the guy so I can't tell you what all was going on around him. I do know he was in the corner and people were clapping and whistling. I assume anything goes and I would assume CDs were being sold as it is a music store too.

I hope jon has great success there.

It would be nice to hear a report from at least one of these Borders shows. Jon's cousin Ben Mathews is from Thousand Oaks, so perhaps some family member or friend of Ben's will go and will be obliging enough to give a report.
