Jon will be performing at many college campuses over the upcoming months.
It is useful for people to indicate if they plan to go to any of these or might have gone. If fans display enough interest, perhaps these schools or nearby ones would invite him to perform more concerts.
Here is the college show schedule as it stands now. If anyone hears any further info on these or is able to attend or would attend if allowed, please post here. The St. Francis University show is definitely for students only. Penn State and Penn State Behrend are the same place, and although you may see Feb. 28 also posted for this show, the only date that appears to ME to be correct is Feb. 22. However, I will be happy to learn differently since I could well be wrong. If I learn for sure about the public or private status of the Penn State Behrend show or other shows, I'll let you know because I know many folks would be eager to go these. The Longwood University show is open to the public, though anyone who attends (like me, for instance ) should give students deference.

**************************** California Christmas this year.
I just got off the phone with a very nice guy at Longwood University in Farmville, VA, which is in the south/central part of Virginia, fairly close to the North Carolina border. The nice guy indicated that Jon's Longwood U. show WILL be open to the public and that they welcome the public, though they do ask that the students be given deference. In other words, anyone who wants to go should plan to let the students have the front rows, should not monopolize Jon's attention before or after the show, and should not cause any distraction. He didn't say all that because he was too nice, but I'm saying it since I think clarity is a virtue, and I don't mind interpreting what he was driving at. He indicated it is mainly a student event, but that the public is welcome and has been welcome at similar events in the past.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
My 4 years of whining for Jon to come to Virginia may finally have come to an end. As far as I can tell now, I can make this show. If anyone else can make it, I would love for you to let me know via private message or here on this thread so we can coordinate information, etc.

Wow Keiya. I hope that one will be open to the public then. Or maybe you can go as her guest. Do you think your sister can find out the details since I know there are other people nearby who would want to go to this one.

I dunno, I'm not above simply showing up at the door and playing on the sympathy of event staff. Most events on the public calendar aren't entirely barred from the public, in my experience.
I'm trying to see what I can get out of Albright's people, since I've heard interest in that event already. Figured a tiny bit of grease wouldn't harm the wheels any.

I totally agree. I mean, I would show up at a student event and sit in the hall if I had to IF the event were close enough to me, but if I am going to jump in a car and spend my time and pollute the planet and all that, I myself would want to be sure I would get in the actual venue. But yes, some things that are billed as student events would likely let in one of Jon's non-student fans who had mastered the art of puppy dog eyes. Thanks for helping call on the Albright thing since, as you say, people showing interest in Jon can only help his prestige with folks at these colleges. I have been working on the Penn State thingie, and will report when I hear.

That's great Keiya! Is it close enough for you that you'd be able to go with her?

2 hours. When I told my Mom, she said she wanted to go with me. So we'll drive down, stay in a hotel and come home the next day. If anyone else around there wants to come, I'm sure we can wrangle something,

That's great that you will get to go! It's a ways off, but I look forward to hearing about it! Have you seen Jon perform live before?

This is wonderful that several folks plan to catch one of these shows.
Some of you will be pleased to learn that the Penn State Behrend show is open to the public. Here is a link to learn more. If anyone can attend this, please say something on this thread so folks can coordinate info and plans, etc.

By the way, has anyone ever thought about how nice it would be if we got emails about upcoming shows? I lost touch with the msg board for awhile and had no idea he was in Iowa until after the fact.
Hey Sammy, I marked the KS show on my calendar too. I would really like to make this one. I could do the whole trip and show in one day. It just depends on what I am up to in April.
So whos all going to the one on the 22nd? We dont need to call ahead do we...? Where exactly is it? Haha well... hmm... is there a website I could go for further info?
