JPL, not only a great singer but an exceptionally talented musician, will be hitting the road with his guitars playing special acoustic shows over the next few weeks. Jon just returned from Idaho where he wowed the crowd performing his original songs, including a number of tunes he has just finished writing. Jon will be playing Club Velour in Utah on March 30th and The Launchpad in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 15th.
The show at The Lauchpad is open to all ages, and the doors will open at 7:00 p.m. Jon will be performing with William Tell. Cost is $8 or $10.

Hi everyone haven't seen you in awhile except for Orange. My girls and I went with her to the acoustic show in SLC in December. YAH, he's coming to Albuquerque. The girls and I were so excited when he sent that bulletin! I really didn't think we'd get to see him so soon again! WE are excited that this time he's coming to our turf! I am also very grateful this is a all ages show, most of the shows at the Launchpad are 21 and older. I don't know what I would have done, made fake IDs for the girls I guess. LOL My husband gets to go this time also. This is our 5th time seeing JPL. Also I wanted to start a account in my name(this is my daughters account) can I do that or do I need a new e-mail address??
Hi Liza! (Did I spell that right?) You can open a different screen name for yourself. I'm not sure if you need a different email address to attach it to or not. You might. I'll forward your question to Jill.
I'm glad you get to go see Jon again, and in your own area. It was nice meeting you in Driggs at "Spudfest". That was a great show. I get free flight benefits soon so once that kicks in, I'll be trying to catch a show here and there. I think the one in Albuquerque is too soon for me to get to go.
Nice to hear from you. I hope you and your daughters come by and tell us about the concert!

Hi Paula, It's Lisa, but thats okay Liza's kinda exotic. I wish you could come to the show out here it would be great to see you again and we need lots of people to yell for Jon. If you did get a chance to come out this way I've got lots of extra room at my house. Good to hear from you.
Hi Lisa! I'm happy for you that you get a show right in your own backyard. I enjoyed meeting you and your family. Didn't Jon make some comment about your husband having a low FM dj type voice? That was fun. You and your family were great.
I believe you would need to create your own account with a different email.
If you happen to get a chance to take some video, I hope you get the new songs. I want to hear those.

Hi Lisa! There is a Liza that posts here too so I got you two mixed up. If by chance my flight benefits kick in by then I'll let you know. If not, maybe another time. Thanks!

: Hi Arts, I can't beleive you remember Jon saying that about Bryans voice! That was a fun time. If I'm allowed to bring in a camera recorder I definitely will. It's always great to replay the concert over and over once you get home. Remind me and at least I can call you on my cell phone.
He actually has a loud voice when he's mad. Hey Arts, I also wanted to let you know I had sent sisterbear a message regarding her question about whether Jons show was kid friendly. I'm actually kinda picky when it comes to music and my kids but this is a exception I make because theres so, so much more good then bad there. However since she may not know his style as well and she seemed concerned I wanted to give her my thoughts. I hope she goes so her son can possible have the chance of meeting Jon.
Ummmm starting to ponder since that is only an 8 hr drive from here..... I think I might try and make this one. Guess I will know after nest week if I can or not.
Kat, I hope you can make it. The more the merrier!! This is his first time performing here and I'd love for it to be a great experience, so he'll come back!!!!
I know how that goes, when he played that acoustic show in SLC we literally decided to go the day before. Found plane tickets the day before, had a really hard time finding a boarding kennel for our dog because it was December but somehow made it. Then Albuquerque had the biggest snowstorm in 40 years while we were in Salt Lake and I thought we wouldn't make it home. Oh well being stranded in SLC wouldn't have been such a bad thing, we love it there but I had my mother- in- law coming for Christmas so I had to get home. Seeing Jon was worth it!
That is so odd! The first time (well only time) I went to see JP there was a massive snowstorm that hit the mid west. It was said that the roads were un-drivable. So I had cancelled going to see him in St. Joe's, MO. Then that day when the snowstorm started to hit, I decided one way or another I was going to go. I wanted to be ANYWHERE but here that weekend. While I was in MO my state (Oklahoma) was declared a federal disaster area. It was BAD. But I made it there and back with only a flat tire as a set back. Otherwise I had a lot of fun.
Well, it's getting really close till Jons show! We've told a lot of people and hung up flyers to get the word out. Also at another concert we went to this week they had a big projector screen on the wall it was advertising upcoming shows and how awesome it was when Jons face popped up on it advertising his upcoming show.
That's great! Hope that there will be a good turn out. I look forward to hearing all about it!

Jons show here in Albuquerque was great! We got in the place around seven. I think he came out about eight. He sang about 14 songs! Even still it went so fast! The place was small so it was very cozy. The crowd was small but very attentive to Jon. Jon's manager Judy was there and she was very nice. It was fun to meet her. The Playlist (I'm kind of tired so I may have to redo some of this tommorrow) 1. Caravan (by Van Morrison) 2. Strange 3. This time 4. Man from Amsterdam 5. Beautiful (and it was, I'll try to get down some of the lyrics later) 6. Have I told you 7. Rodeo 8. Medley 9. Turn to grey 10. Plastic on the inside 11. Letting go 12. A song about Christopher Columbus he wrote 13. Amanda Grace 14. Burning in Hello
He sounded really good and I thought he did a great job on the guitar. My nephew from Seattle came with us and he was really impressed by Jons voice and abilities. Most of the people there were friends of ours and they all seemed so happy with Jon performance. Afterwards we took pictures and he signed autographs. The nice people at the Launchpad let us take their posters of Jon so a lot of the kids had him sign them. My husband had some pizza sent to the place so we ate pizza with Jon and chatted with him and Judy. We asked him to please come back! There were this one cute couple who had showed up and they hadn't known before who he was but they told me after that they really liked him alot and they were so excited to meet him!! Our friends who never met him before were also so excited to meet him it was really special for them. And of course it was special for my family and I to see him again it always seems so surreal! Of course I wish the crowd had been huge but I think the crowd we had loved him and I hope he felt that! I think he gets better and better and I'm happy that he is doing what he loves, not many people get to do that. Well, I think I gotta hit the sack now!!Goodnight
