And that's all I know. Jon will appear at Austin, Texas's huge music festival, South By Southwest. I can't at this point dredge up any other details about this appearance, such as the exact place or time. But this is coming right up, and I know Jon has fans in that area, so if anyone knows anything, please tell.

they never post schedules for the day time shows. those you just figure out when you get there, its in the austin chronicle evryday which you can pick up on any corner fo free."
It is march 13th and I have to be in OKC for an appointment on the 14th! (the opposite direction) stupid VA. Jon might not see this but he should drive a state up
It looks as if the following info from the Authentic Records Site is correct. At this point, I'm not sure if Jon will also perform elsewhere. If anyone knows more, please let me know.
THURSDAY, MARCH 12 MOTHER EGAN'S IRISH PUB 715 west 6th street -------------------- 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Music Starts At Noon ------------------- THE JOSH DAVIS BAND : KATIE TODD JON PETER LEWIS : BEN ARNOLD JIM BOGGIA : VIRGINIA COALITION

This is pretty confusing since it says Thursday March 12 at the Authentic site, but Thursday is the 13th. Both the events page of Jon's site here and Jon's myspace say March 13. So I think Authentic Records must have made a typo on their site.
Kat, since the show is done by 5:00 at the latest, would you maybe be able to go and still make your appointment the next day? Maybe Judy would tell you the exact time Jon will play; he could be done as early as 1:00 p.m.
I think Jill should go too. Sounds as if she needs some fun after her hard work recently.

Ok here is the thing. My car decided out of nowhere to crap out on me. It is in the shop now waiting for the part they need to fix it. I MIGHT be able to get it back in time though.
That and Jon will be in KS only a little over a four hour drive (vs over 5) from me in April. So if I miss SXSW it won't be that big of a deal. Now unless JP is with the full band and my friend from basic training can get enough time off of work to come hang out with me, I will most likely just wait to April.
Oh and my friend told me something about needing wrist bands to get in to see the shows for SXSW. Do you guys know anything about that?

I think I should too, but I've already agreed to go to Colorado for the week, unfortunately. The whole family is there, so I can't really miss it. My daughter will probably be in grad school in Austin starting this fall, so hopefully he'll be back and we can both go.
Well I am still trying to make arrangements to attend. My friend says she can hang out after work that day so I would really like to go. I have not seen her since I left basic training.
I can not believe I have only know about SXSW for the past two years. When people say it is a major event, I think it is only for a lack of better words. According to my friend she hates this time of year because it shuts down all of Austin.
Tech heads, Film makers, bands and fans come from all over the WORLD. It is packed full of events, exhibitions, parties, you name it. It has a hefty price tag too. To Register Online For a Music Badge it is about $650
A SXSW Music badge gets you access to...
* All SXSW Music Festival events * Over 60 stages for five nights with musical acts from around the globe (admission subject to venue capacity) * All SXSW Music Conference events * The SXSW Trade Show...the place to meet companies from around the world, have a refreshment and check out artists performing on the SXSW Day Stage * A SXSW Big Bag filled with magazines, CDs, swag, souvenirs * The SXSW Program Book/Registrants Directory * A subscription to SXSWorld Magazine valued at $20. * Plenty of opportunities to interact with your peers around the industry
Also from what I am being told, Austin at the moment is packed to the gills with people. All but three hotels at this point are listed as being sold-out through SXSW website .
The good news: It looks like the show Jon is scheduled to be at is free! Yay! If I work it right, I am so going.
Ok as fas as SXSW, is anyone else from the boards coming to see the show? Half the fun in catching one of Jon's gigs is the chance to meet some of the rest of you from here. PM me if you are.
