This thread will be for listing land-based radio stations where Jon's songs are playing. I will try to update the list here on this first post in the order the stations come in. Contact these stations with requests for "Break the Silence." I will also list Hot AC (Adult Contemporary) stations that should have been sent the single. These stations are good to particularly target for requests since they should have the single, and they also happen to report to Mediabase.
STATIONS ALREADY PLAYING "BREAK THE SILENCE"
1. WMXO Mix 010.5 in New York. Send requests to studio@mix1015online.com.
2. WLNH 98.3 in central New Hampshire. Use this link to submit requests. This station has a player where you can listen to their live stream by clicking on the player's LIVE button. And significantly, if you click on the player's "ONDEMAND MEDIA" button you can play "Break the Silence." Jon is one of only 10 artists on the player's list, right along with such mega-stars as Sheryl Crow, Colbie Caillat, Finger Eleven, and John Mayer! Let's show this station how popular Jon is by giving the single plenty of plays on this player. The player features the photo of Jon wearing the shirt Jill gave him while leaning against the barn door.
3. 95.1/102.3 WAYV Atlantic City, NJ. This station streams.
5. 95.3 KLLY in Bakersfield, CA. This station and DeVry University are sponsoring a contest for high school students to win tickets to a concert by Jon on June 6. Visit the station's homepage for details.
6. 94.5 WPST. Trenton N.J./Philadelphia, PA Visit this station's "Now Hear This" page to vote for the station to play "Break the Silence" more.
7. Sirius Satellite & Internet Radio. This is an important and widely heard radio service, so I put it here with land based stations. "Break the Silence" was officially added to Channel 9, The Pulse. Request "Break the Silence" on their site. Sirius reports to Mediabase.
9. KLTG 96.5 The Beach in Corpus Christi, TX. This station reports to Mediabase.
10. 96.3 WDVD in Detroit, MI. Jon is featured on this station's "Fresh New Music" page, where people can also hear a sample of the song, buy the song, and link to Jon's site. This station streams.
16. WLBC 104.1 in Munice, IN. I'm not sure if they are actually playing Jon yet, but they have a sample of the song posted and a very easy click to request method.
5. 95.3 KELLY in Bakersfield, CA. This station and DeVry University are sponsoring a contest for high school students to win tickets to a concert by Jon on June 6. Visit the station's homepage for details. I am waiting to hear if the concert is open to the public since many of these "Kelly Lounge" shows require people to win tickets from the station.

I will start posting some of the stations who have access to the single, but who may or may not be playing the song yet. These are especially effective stations to request "Break the Silence" from since they should actually have the song. If you have any Hot AC stations in your area, request Jon there too, but the ones I post are ones we know ought to have the single. To find various Hot AC stations in your area, use Radio-locator.
Right now, I suggest people request from KUDD in Salt Lake City. They should have the "Break the Silence," and they are important because they report to MediaBase, an influential charting organization.

I have a friend that is a DJ at our local Hip Hop station. Jon's music isn't really suited to their format, but ... I am event planner on a 3 part community event that is a talent contest of sorts, and my DJ friend and a DJ from the sister station of my friend's station are also working on this event as judges. The other station just happens to be a top 40 station. After today's event and meeting were over, I talked to the other DJ that I just met today and told her about Jon and asked her how we could get "Break the Silence" played on her station. (Which is probably our area's most popular, well-known radio station). And she said that they have the song and she played it last night and the night before! And she said she liked the song and that he had a good voice. She is on weeknights from 7-midnight. The station she works for is on the the radio indicator that arts posted as a Top 40, not a Hot AC. So it seems other types of radio stations may have this song too! So anyway, I'm going to request it periodically in my area.

Way to promote Paula! I'm sure they will play the song even more now that you have given it such a big thumbs up. It's exciting that stations are recognizing that this is a great song. What are the call letters for this station? Top 40 station! Jon is everywhere! This calls for not one, but two woohoos.

Serius Satellite & Internet Radio officially added Jon's single "Break the Silence" on Friday June 6. Check that link, and at least for this week, you'll see the blurb about Jon getting added.
This is an important and widely heard radio service, so I put it here with land based stations. "Break the Silence" can be heard on Channel 9, The Pulse. Even if you don't have Serius Radio, you can still request "Break the Silence" on their site.
I'm very excited about this! Now he just needs to get on XM radio since that is what I have on my TV. Does anyone have Serius?
