In light of my recent discovery that people claim the Henson studio, where Jon recorded some of his album, is haunted, I want to ask y'all if you have real ghost stories. In theory, I believe in ghosts since I believe in life after death, but I've only heard one first hand ghost story from what I consider a credible witness. Now, if Jon comes on and answers my question to him about the haunted studio with a story of his own, then I'd probably believe him too.

Side note to Paula--the ghost hunters at the Henson studio assured us the ghosts were harmless. Sorry to make you lose sleep. Smile

So everyone, have you or anyone you trust ever experienced ghostly activity?

Well, thank you for the comforting words arts. hehehe.

Well, I have actually seen a ghost in my condo and have had things thrown at me. Sorry if that sounds weird, but one day a lid to a bowl in my kitchen flew out of the cupboard across the kitchen and knocked a recipe off the counter that I was making. I tried to "re-create" the incident and even if I gave a little push to the lid, it didn't fly nearly as far as it did on it's own. Plus I saw a shadowy figure of a man in my hall one night and I yelled and it floated down the hall then disappeared. I called my friend and told her and she said she has heard of those things (and I had never heard of this before) and she said they were called "shadow people" and she suggested I google "shadow people" and I did and it was exactly what I had seen but had never heard of such a thing before. Weird.

Okay, sorry if I freaked anyone out. I have one more story about an "incident" in my condo and about a friend of mine who caught an image of a woman with her camera but I have to get back to work. I'll tell ya later!

That doesnt sound weird Paula, its interesting. I think the whole flying objects thing is a poltergyst. I've never heard of shadow people... but thats really intreging. I love paranormal things like this.

I think I've posted this elsewhere, but I'll post it again from boredum. I was maybe in the 5th grade, waiting near the end of my driveway for the bus. (It was spring I think) I got a sudden urge to go on the road and look down it (its a dead end, the opisite way the bus comes from) and I was just staring. About 4 houses down I saw a dog cross the road and went behind the row of pine trees next to the field. Then, a lady in an orange trenchcoat walked onto the road (same plce as the dog), stoped, looked around, and disapeared. THen the dog came back across the street.

Since it happened so long ago, I'm starting to this its all in my head... but I know its not cause I remeber telling it to people the next day it happened. It was just odd.

Anyway, I love ghosts and such, which I think are very much real. I know too many people with these kinda experiances to think otherwise.

I trust both of you! Things could spontaneaously fly out of my cabinets since we cram so much in them, but I suspect Paula doesn't hoarde food the way we do!

Sheep, were the dog and lady all filmy looking? Any chance they were alive and just disappeared into fog?

My sister was in college in another state at the moment when my stepfather died unexpectedly. She said she was walking on campus, and he sort of appeared to her and told her to hussle to her dorm and get ready to go home since our mom would need her. Sure enough, soon after returning to her room, my sister got the phone call with the bad news. My step father was a good man, so it isn't a big stretch to think of him wanting to take care of our mom. Although my sister will on occasion emphasize something in a story for dramatic effect (not that dramatic story telling runs in the family or anything Roll Eyes), I've never known her to actually make things up.

Our next door neighbor in our previous house said her house was haunted. I didn't trust her very much. A lady I sort of know here claimed hers was too. I trust her more than that neighbor, but still not enough to believe her fully.

My cousin saw my Grandfather when he died... My Grandfather died on my Brother's fifth birthday (my Brother who passed away this year).. He had cancer.. And he wanted all of his children home when he passed.. My Mother was with him and she watched his face turn like 10 different colors cuz he was trying to hold onto life until all his children could get home.. Then one of my Aunts got a delay at the airport and my Mother told that to my Grandfather and he passed shortly after.. One minute later my Cousin called my Grandmother and asked her if he had passed and if his Mother was there and my Grandmother told her that his Mother wasn't there yet.. So he said he would call back in a while.. About a half hour later he called back to talk to him Mother.. And told him that he knew that Grandpa had died cuz he saw him... My Grandfather's spirit was walking through my Aunt's house to make sure that she had been on her way home (she lives in Washington and my Grandparents live here in Illi)... My Aunt of course didn't believe him, until my Mother told her that he had called one minute after my Grandfather had passed, and my Cousin then (still on the phone) told her the exact time that my Grandfather had passed...

Several years ago a friend of mine took a picture of her daughter with a Polaroid Instamatic camera. I arrived at her home right after she took the picture and she had just looked at it and she told me to look and she asked, "Who's that woman in the picture". I said I didn't know, but that she did look familiar. She was early 30's dark curly hair to the shoulder, nice smile.. She was sitting in a chair at the kitchen table and my friend's daughter was standing in front of her and she had her arms around her and looked right at the camera and smiled. Her image was very clear, but slightly lighter than the little girl in the photo. She was wearing a flowing long dress and you couldn't see any feet or legs.. it was so weird. I asked her if anyone else was just there and she said, "No, I just now took the picture and no one else has been here." She still has that picture and has no idea why there is a picture of that woman in her photo of her daughter.

Have you seen the photo of Mary Todd Lincoln? It was taken after Abe had died.. And she is sitting in a chair and he is standing behind her with his hands resting on her shoulders...

Here is the blurry, tiny photo that jolie is talking about and a poorly written article about these kinds of photos. I think such photos could be faked easily enough, though a Poloroid photo would be more difficult to fake, I believe.

I did talk to my sister today and made sure I had the details right in that ghost story. She fleshed out some more details for me, but the way I told y'all the story contains the basic events. I do trust my sister, but I'll confess that part of me is still skeptical.

Those photos are bizarre. As far as the Polaroid goes, she had just taken the picture moments before I arrived. And when she asked me if I knew who that woman was, I thought it was someone that was actually there before I arrived and oddly the woman looked very familiar, but I never did figure out who it could be. Even though it is likely that some of these types of photos could be faked, there was not time for my friend to have done something to the photo. I saw it moments after she took it. It was from a brand new film cartridge and it was the first picture taken.

Well, the dog didnt disappear, just the lady. It was a while ago, so I kinda forget the details... but I remeber the lady being solid, and then she quickly faded. It wasnt foggy, cause I could see the end of the street.

All these experiances are so intreging! Those pictures kinda remind me of orbs. Its weird, cause they only appear in photos taken in older houses and stuff. Its said that they are circles of energy that are present where paranormal activity is...
