Some new videos of Jon from the AI days have been posted on YouTube. Apparently, these were posted by the guy who actually made these videos, a man named Richard Arsenault. He did a great job with them! You can see more about him at his company's website or on his personal site. The two kind of overlap.

This one is of Jon and other finalists doing line dancing. Jon deliberately falls to the floor at the end. I especially like the way Jon raises both hands to proudly indicate that he had taken line dancing instruction as part of a P.E. class. The look on his face after the instructor comments is priceless. Cracks me up. Big time.

This one shows one of Jon's vignettes on the show. I miss these vignettes. I wonder when was the last time Jon did a dive roll. I think Hollywood and fame would tend to grind some of the joie de vivre out of anyone. I hope Jon is still having fun with all this star stuff.

Oh wow JP looks like REALLY young in that last one. Like I would have thought John Stevens was older then him. He is dork but hey that is why I like him. Wink He is not afraid to show it.

And line dancing… comments left out on that one. Although I’d also have to admit I had it in PE class as too. Then were the days. LoL

Yeah I wondered that too. Well, I guess it was her year, since she won. But I still prefer to call it Season 3, Starring Jon Peter Lewis. Wink

Amen, sistah!

Next up in the YouTube lineup was Jon's "A little less conversation" video, so I watched that, and then I watched Chris Daughtry's version, and listened to the Elvis mix. Elvis is the King, and Daughtry is good (if a little vanilla for my tastes), but I still think Jon's version is nothing short of brilliant. That was a stellar bit of television right there.

Well, I didn't exactly watch them all again. However, in the couple that I did watch, I noticed that Jon's expressions and gestures seem so raw and readable. Some of that is familiarity, but so much isn't. I've seen several old friends go on the stage, and I don't get that from with most of them. They're probably better liars than Jon is... better at plain old pretense. And pretense is not a good thing when you're on stage, trying to get your audience to give a care.

Anyway, I bet I'd still like the same ones.

Yeah, I agree. I had a great time watching him and after I watched a few of the solo numbers I watched some of the group performances. Jon consistently seems 'in character' for his performances. I always get the feeling he's really in the moment when he's onstage. It makes for a great performance Thumb

Great voices and lyrics are notable, but the delivery is what really makes the performance outstanding. Jon is able to bring you into the moment with him. Can't wait to catch him onstage again! Smile

Mish I can't wait to catch him on stage again either... I guess that's what I get for watching one video that I already had on my computer...

LOL...no doubt. But his next performance doesn't seem to be till the day after my b-day...in FEB! And it's in PA. That's nice for the people in PA of course, but doesn't help me much.

It's been over a year since my last concert fix. Terrible, I tell you.
