I'm not sure if you remember me on the forums. I'd been away for a while because of illness, but now I'm back to support my good friend Jon and all my wonderful friends on his forums here.
More than anything, I would LOVE Jon to come to Australia to perform as I don't know when I'll ever make it to the States, so I was wondering if Jon would be able to make a world tour in the near future, as unlike my friends here, I've never been to a live show, and I really would like to. How do international fans like myself help spread the word to bring Jon Down Under?
Doing a show in Australia would be incredible. You never know, it could definitely happen. We have talked about doing some shows overseas and it's certainly not out of the question.
I will personally let you know the moment we have anything planned 'down under.' You have been very supportive of Jon's music along with so many people on the site, and your efforts in spreading the word about him have not gone unnoticed.
As for your question about spreading the word...just keep doing what you have been doing. You are good at it.
Thanks Judy for answering my questions and being so lovely.
I would love Jon to come to Australia, and I would love to meet him in person someday. He inspired me from the very first time I saw him on American Idol and I love his solo music. I had a few personal worries at the time, and Jon's performances inspired me to sieze the day and help to better myself and inspire others.
I would like to ask one more question. Recently, Lucy Lawless from Xena: Warrior Princess, who is now developing her already well-known musical talents, has also played a few shows at The Roxy, and she has released (or is about to release) a live CD/DVD from her Roxy shows. I was wondering if the same thing could happen with Jon's performances, you know, a live CD/DVD? You would know more about how to get that going than I would, but I just thought I'd ask. Also, will Jon be releasing any music videos on DVD or something like that?
The song "Rodeo" on his debut album was recorded live, and doing a full CD live would be a good idea. Maybe for a record a bit down the road, but we'll certainly keep that in mind. There will be some video of Jon you haven't seen yet out soon.
And this for you Mickey, the Australian magazine Marie Claire did a photo shoot with Jon at Idol Camp yesterday, so keep your eyes open for an article about him in the near future.
I'll keep a lookout for the Marie Claire magazine that has the JPL feature in it.
It's great to know that there will be new Jon videos (hopefully on a DVD which will be great) and that a live album might be a possibility in the future. I love Rodeo on the album, I knew that song was recorded live, and I'd love to hear more of Jon's music live.
I am sorry for not having promoted Jon or for not being active on the forums lately while I was unwell, but I hope Jon knows how much I sincerely admire him as a person and love his music. I just hope that what little I do in the way of spreading the word is enough and that it helps Jon.
Hi Judy! It was a pleasure to meet you at the convention. Now I know what a hardworking manager Jon has. I was wanting to know, does Jon still have a physical address where he receives mail like before? I attempted to post him a letter but it didn't reach its destination. Just wanted to let him know some things (like how much I really love his music and what a bleesing he's been to my life.) I'd like to send a personal letter just for him. Thanks!
It was nice to meet you at the convention as well. You can do 2 things. You can email me the letter at judylieber@jlmgmt.com and I will make sure he gets it, or you can write a letter to him and mail it to P.O. Box 1962 Studio City, CA 91614.
