Hey Guys

Jon is really a wonderful guy! Last night I E-Mailed from his site (this one) and this morning when I checked my E-Mails, I discovered that Jon had replied to me! I thought that given his busy schedule he would need a bit of time to reply, but that was really very kind of him.

I was feeling down a bit for a few weeks (which is why I've been a bit quiet), but Jon's friendship and kindness has made me feel better.

Here's what Jon wrote to me (I hope he won't mind my posting it):

Dear Mikey,

Thanks for your letter. I'm sure it's probably a little strange for
you to write another dude, so let me make this as easy as possible.
You're still cool, ok! I'm glad that you enjoy my music and took
the time to write me to let me know I have your support. The past
year has been a good one, and I owe a lot to the fans. Thanks.

I've been putting a lot of time into writing and recording the past
few months and I've got a CD in the works. I hope to have it out this
summer. After that I plan on touring, so I hope you will come see me
perform if I'm in your area.

I would love to see Jon perform live in concert, but unless he comes to Australia or I save up a bit of money to go to America, I'm afraid I won't get to see a JPL concert. I guess I should have explained that I live overseas. I thought he knew.

That was a nice reply Mikey. I am glad to hear he plans on touring! Perhaps some day he will make it to Australia. By the way, how is Anthony Callea doing?

That was a very nice letter that you wrote and a really nice letter that you received.

Wonder if he will reply to my e-mail...I better look daily then if might respond so fast!

Loved your letter to Jon, Cara. That was really thoughtful and just the kind of e-mail I would love to receive from a fan, were I a musician (this sentence is getting kind of complicated) I'm sure he really appreciated the time you took to write it, as well as your message.

That was a really good letter I emailed him a couple days ago too but no reply yet!

Jon does read all the fan mail, and he wrote the letters the fans recieve. If he has a chance, he sends out some personal messages and answers questions, so it is possible to receive a note from him as well as the general reply and autographed fan mail picture. He has been working long hours rehearsing with his band and recording in the studio, and has (happily) recieved a ton of fan mail, so he has only been able to send out individual replies to a tiny fraction of the fans who send mail in. Rest assured, though, that he is reading them and appreciates your support.

any way um it took about 3 days for him to respond he usually seems to do it on the weekends tho

I'm so sorry for having posted the picture that Jon E-Mailed me, I was just so excited, I didn't realise. I won't do it again. Hobbit's Word Of Honour!
