The fabulously talented actor Val Kilmer, who I'm honoured to be a devoted fan of as well as a Street Team member for, is working on releasing his debut album and has announcements on his Official MySpaces...
Val's a great guy as well as a wonderful actor, as I'm sure you know, but he's also a fabulous singer whose music deserves to be heard, so I hope you might be interested in helping me promote it. The proceeds from the sale of the CDs will be going to Val's charities, which aim to raise money for various social, humanitarian and environmental issues. One such cause that Val has raised money for is for the families of police officers who were killed in the September 11th disaster. Val is also committed to helping the Wildlife Centre through proceeds of his music.
At the CHILLER THEATRE EXPO, I will be offering autographed copies of my brand new poetry book "Jack's Ghandi, poetry by val kilmer" AND copies of my new limited edition CD which contains seven of our demo tracks produced at a higher quality than what is available for download available for purchase and all profits from both will go to charity.
** The first 1000 copies of Jack's Gandhi will be without ISBN numbers and will initially only be available for sale at the show. (Not having an ISBN number means it cannot be catalogued, or sold through normal book channels!)
And I will be auctioning a first edition, autographed copy of my original poetry book "My Edens After Burns".
All for charity.
I look forward to seeing all my fans and friends at the autograph signing in New Jersey!

Hey Val Gal
I'm delighted to see a fellow Val Kilmer fan here, and as my dear friend Paula says, and I wholeheartedly agree, please come by and chat as often as you can!
I must ask though, and at the risk of sounding dumber than I usually am, are you one of my friends from Val Kilmer's Helpers site or someone I know from VK's MySpaces? I'd love to know which one of my friends you are, and if you're new to me, I welcome you as one of my friends!
Thanks also to Paula for saying kind things about me...I'm not sure if I am deserving of all the praise, but it's sweet nonetheless.
Also, Val Gal, please feel free to explore the wonderful world of Jon Peter Lewis - he rocks just as much as Val, and if Val is King Of The Known Universe, Jon is certainly Crown Prince Of The Cosmos!
In fact, if they ever remake any of Val's early movie hits like Real Genius or Top Secret, then the only person I would like to see cast in Val's shoes would be Jon, and in the case of Real Genius, those shoes would be bunny slippers!
Hey Michael, avalgal is my alias, i also go by ~serendipity~ your friendly video maker. All this talk you do about JPL, i never realized who you were talking about, now that i know, i will visit more often, thanks for the info, see you around cyberspace - ~s~

Shelli!
You should have let me know who you were before, and I would have given you a proper welcome!
For my JPL friends, Shelli is one of my best buddies over at Val's Helpers (our organisation that helps support the great Val Kilmer), and she's also on my MySpace as Serendipity. I'll wait for her permission before I give out her MySpace address though. She's a great gal and although she's new to the world of JPL, I'm sure she'll be a fan in no time!
Especially since I am introducing Val himself to Jon through my messages in the hopes that Jon and Val can work together someday. Val's busy, but so sweet and kind, and always reads my messages, and when he answers, he's adorable!
Thanks for the awesome welcome Mikey, please feel free to share my space address with your friends here, they can check out my Val Videos and get a taste of his music. I'm looking forward to enjoying this site, again thanks for the awesome welcome, ~s~

You're more than welcome Shelli. I hope you enjoy it here as Jon and his fans are the best. However, I might be taking a break from things here for a while for personal reasons, but that's no reason for you not to enjoy the greatness that is JPL. Like I said, people here are great, but I'm feeling a bit out of things at the moment and have decided to stick to my MySpace and my Music Review blog.
I guess I just feel like Val Kilmer as Moses in Ten Commandments: The Musical, in the song Key To The Kingdom when he sang:
"I've got the key to the kingdom, but the kingdom's not my own...suddenly, I'm feeling alone, suddenly, I'm feeling like I'm not home...anymore..."
So I'll still continue to support Jon but it's best I do it where I feel comfortable where I'm not making anyone uncomfortable.
What a shame Mikey, this site will be missing out big time without your input. So I guess I will be talking to you at myspace. If anyone is interested in checking out my Val Kilmer videos done to his original music, check out my youtube account, under the name avalgal. peace and God bless, ~s~
Well, I couldn't stay away for long. I was just feeling a bit hurt that's all, but I'm fine now.
Shelli, if you read this, please come on back, I am feeling happier now, and we'd love to have you.
Right now, I'm trying to interest Val in helping to get Jon's music in movie soundtracks or to help get Jon in movies. I know it's kind of nutty of me, but hey, nutty is who I am!
I'm sure you all know how much I love Ten Commandments: The Musical (even though it doesn't have a CD soundtrack which I desperately want), but I equally love the animated feature The Prince Of Egypt, also based on The Ten Commandments.
I just discovered the CD soundtrack for The Prince Of Egypt on Amazon.Com (better late than never...)
I am intrigued by a song (Humanity) - not featured in the movie, only on the CD - which features Val Kilmer (again playing Moses) performing with an ensemble of cast members like Jeff Goldblum, Danny Glover, Patrick Stewart and Helen Mirren, and an ensemble of music stars including two of my personal favourites, Amy Grant and Beth Nielsen Chapman.
****"Humanity" Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz Produced by Buster & Shavoni Performed by Jessica Andrews, Clint Black, Boys II Men (as Boyz II Men), Shirley Caesar, Jesse Campbell, Carman, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Christian, Charlie Daniels, Linda Davis, DC Talk, Danny Glover, Jeff Goldblum, Amy Grant, The Rickey Grundy Chorale, Fred Hammond & Radical For Christ, Jars of Clay, Toby Keith, Val Kilmer, Alison Krauss, Mac McAnally, Donnie McClurkin, Brian McKnight, Helen Mirren, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Patrick Stewart, Take 6, Tyrone Tribbet and Greater Annointing, Bebe and CeCe Winans****
Lyrics for Humanity:
"I wonder what life has in store for me I think a painter is what I'll be Mix the black with the white On the canvas of life Create the artistry The picture is humanity
One world with so many tongues Must now sing the song unsung Just one melody So let your voices ring Create the harmony The song is humanity
Na na na...... One people one planet Don't take your brother for granted Na na na...... Shake a hand make a friend And let the love begin
At the sound of the drum The race is run Man versus Man For number one But if we call it a truce There's no way we could lose A winner's vanity In such insanity There's just one race Humanity..."
Songs about equality and universal love for all humanity are songs close to my heart.
Also notable on the album are the beautiful When You Believe performed by Michelle Pfeiffer (Zipporah) and Sandra Bullock (Miriam), while Val shines in two more songs, All I Ever Wanted and a duet with Ralph Fiennes (Rameses), The Plagues. Also, Amy Grant covers Ofra Haza's (Yokebed's)River Lullaby song from the beginning of the movie.
