Hey Guys Smile

The Bangles are set to appear on a special CD as tribute to The Beatles which will be released November 7 (hey, another present for Jon!!!)... Smile

The Bangles will be singing Good Day Sunshine. Smile

Here's the news direct from The Bangles website! Smile

****This fall, key folks from V2 Music (formerly owned by the legendary Richard Branson, but now entirely made in the USA) are launching Little Monster Records - a new specialty label for hip, kid-friendly releases.

The first release is the very cool Beatles tribute CD ALL TOGETHER NOW, featuring artists as diverse as Rachael Yamagata, Marshall Crenshaw and, of course, The Bangles, singing the track "Good Day Sunshine!" Reviewer Amy Barkat states, "'Good Day Sunshine' sounds as if it were written just for the Bangles, who apply their signature harmonies to this luscious tune..."

ALL TOGETHER NOW comes with a storybook containing poems, Beatles facts and children's artwork. The CD launches exclusively at all Barnes & Noble bookstores on November 7th, and will be available to other retailers next spring.****

Cheers, Mikey Smile

What's even cooler is that Debbi Peterson from The Bangles has placed me among the Top 10 in her friends list on her MySpace page! Smile

I wonder if all The Bangles will be singing together in harmony for The Beatles song? As much as I miss original bassist Michael Steele in the band, I do love her replacement Abby Travis, and I wonder if she's a part of this project? Smile

Or it might just be rhythm guitarist Susanna Hoffs, lead guitarist Vicki Peterson, or drummer Debbi Peterson singing lead with the other two singing back-up vocals and playing their instruments. They all sing lead at some point in their own songs, but this might be a harmony type performance where they all sing together. Smile

I let her know about Jon's album being listed on Amazon, so hopefully, she'll help us promote Stories From Hollywood more. Smile

I just wish I could add people to MySpace without anyone disappearing. Until I can fix it, I can't add anyone new. Sad

Cheers, Mikey Smile
