Hey Guys

Guess what! You know how
Belinda Carlisle is releasing
Voila in
February next year? Someone on E-Bay claims to have an advance copy of the album for sale, and it is such a hot item that
Rykodisk (the label that the CD will be released by) is looking into the matter and may ban any bootleg copies of the CD before the release date! I knew Belinda was a hot commodity, but I didn't realise just how hot! It's like when a truckload of
Harry Potter books was stolen before the release date a few years back.

****Intrepid eBayer 'distha72' is selling what he/she claims is a promo copy of Belinda's forthcoming Voila. I don't know if this is legit or not, but if eBay rep counts for anything, it would appear distha72 has plenty of it - 100% positive feedback over 96 transactions. Not bad at all.
Okay, so assuming this individual isn't pulling our leg, what does this mean?
First off, let's remember that in the 21st century, it's not uncommon for entire albums to leak on the internet in advance of their release date. In fact, we already know for certain that a portion of Voila - one track, to be exact - is in free circulation at this very moment. Once the auction is over and the winner gets their hands on the album, will we soon have the whole lot available for download? You bet we will.
I don't know what this will mean for Belinda's album sales. At present, nobody's even sure what kind of market penetration she's aiming for here. Her rumblings in recent years have indicated she wants to keep things low key, but she's made a LOT of appearances on high profile television shows and done a lot of touring in the past year or so.
She also told TV1 prior to her recent Moscow show that she's planning on filming a (music) video this year. We don't know which song yet, and that's somewhat beside the point anyway. What isn't beside the point, however, is that this would seem to indicate that some kind of single will follow.
February isn't far away, folks.****
UPDATEHey Guys

The bootleg album has just been banned!
**The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.**http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BELINDA-CARLISLE-VIOLA-RARE-PROM-...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemRykodisk must have cracked down on the seller. I wonder what happened to him/her?

Inquiring minds want to know!
