Bon Jovi is playing at the pep ralley for Jon's arena football team "Philadelphia Soul". It's not a big concert just a 1 hr. show for the season ticket holders (me). It won't be televised. For me, an hour of BJ is worth a 2 hr. drive anyday.

I can't start threads so I suppose this is as good a place as any to post;
So, anyway ... Pattie, Pattie, Pattie...
Guess who the opening game for our Austin Wranglers is against?
Ha! One guess... you can't miss!

I think it's Jan 30th at the Frank Irwin Center. The website is www.austinwranglers.com. Check out the opening graphic; I think they're definitely gunning for the Austin Icebats fans! LOL! I think I might check it out if I can come up with some money! This might be one place where I don't want front row seats though. Although, if you catch a ball, you get to keep it and get an autograph after the game.... hmm? and let's see... a football player flying into my lap? Maybe those front row seats might be worth it after all! Ha!

Hey Beach....I know about Texas. I didn't think you were interested in arena football. If you go, look for the owners box because Jon BJ attends most of the games. If your looking to keep a football player they already announced last year that you get to keep the footballs but you have to give the players back. Quite a few do end up on a fans lap.

To keep BJ fans updated I copied this from Digitalprosound.com Bon Jovi DVD Wins Digital Entertainment Group Award Director Anthony Bongiovi accepts award (January 10,2005) Worldwide superstars BON JOVI have received the Digital Entertainment Group’s (DEG) “Creative Excellence Award” for the “Music on DVD ” Category for the live concert DVD , “This Left Feels Right: Live Limited Edition.” The DVD was directed by Anthony M. Bongiovi (a brother of Jon Bon Jovi,) who accepted the award today at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas , NV in conjunction with the CES (Consumer Electronics Show.) “This Left Feels Right: Live Limited Edition” was released in February 2004 by Island/Def Jam Records (Universal Music Group.) The DVD package included live concert performance filmed in high definition video at two November 2003 Bon Jovi concerts at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. The concerts featured live performances of Bon Jovi’s biggest hits as reworked on the “This Left Feels Right” CD (released in October 2003.) In addition to the unique live performances, the DVD included interview footage with the band and a groundbreaking interactive poker game through which fans could participate. If viewers “won” a hand of the virtual poker they could access live concert footage of the band Hyde Park, London concert before 92,000 fans. (If they didn’t win, their ‘interaction’ with the band took the form of good-natured mocking of their card skills.) I have this DVD and the poker game is hysterical. They talk to you like you're actually there. And David Bryan (keyboard) is so funny. I keep playing each hand differently because they say different things according to how you play. I was also at the two concerts they mention but I was in the back and you can' t see me.

Will do Pattie! I love football. Just never knew much about arena football but am thinking about it because there just isn't much to choose from here. With UT, we have great college stuff but the only pro stuff we have are the Austin IceBats (hockey), the Round Rock Express (really fun but just a farm team) or the Austin Wranglers so I am sort of getting interested in the Wranglers! I even applied for a marketing job with them, which I apparently didn't get! Ha! Really, I just love football uniforms! lol! j/k! well half kidding!
My favorite team of any sport (in case anyone wants to make a thread because I can't) is the San Antonio Spurs!

OH MY, anybody watch the Soul game today? Did Jon Bon Jovi look HOTTTTTT or what? I'm not sure if I like watching these games on TV or going to them in person more. On TV I get a great view of JBJ but in person I get to be there with him and sometimes get an autograph. I've gotten two so far at the games.

A friend of a friend is in very tight with Bon Jovi. She said she was going to be at this game. No doubt she will have been hanging with them. All her gushing does get a bit old after awhile, but she's quite good friends with them.

I liked Jon in Homegrown. It's a movie about marijuana growers in Northern California. Billy Bob Thorton, Hank Azaria, Ryan Phillipe and others are also in it. Jon plays a local dealer looking to make a big buy. Good movie and he did a pretty convincing job as a stoner, lol.

Don't feel bad Lynn, JBJ has a way of sneaking into your life like that. They have a new song on the boxed set that goes "I am the thief of hearts...don't run or try to hide." Seems to fit the bill. BTW, he was on CNBC last night talking about everything. The one thing that stands out is that he said he trust women more than men in business because women are much more logical than men. He said, women have been running his life since he was 17. Smart man that Jon.

OMG I get to see JBJ at work like all the time right now! They are doing ads on the Wal~Mart TV Network; and they do one for the AFL so they show JBJ like 4 times during that one. And then they do one advertising (and I don't ever get to really hear it so I don't know if it's a movie or part of the show) but it's something about Las Vegas (the show) and I can't tell you who is hotter JBJ or Josh!
