The webcast was choppy, wish I'd bought the channel it was on, but the cable guy would have had to come out and reset the box, and Gary would have known I was subscribing to a channel we'd only use once, lol.

"Living on a Prayer" was always one of my favorites, but now seeing how there's a guitar player named Tommy in it, it has taken on new significance! ; )

It is about time they got some recognition! I love Bon Jovi. Back when I was 12 I wanted to marry him. Heck, I'd marry him now- if there wasnt that whole wife & 4 kids thing he already has going on...

Hey, Patti,
I have been rockin' out with Bon JOVI this morning. He was great on tv. Couldn't keep my feet still. He has always been one of my favorites. I am putting his new box set on my Christmas wish list.

Maybe you would have gotten more use out of it afterall because this concert is the first in a series of concerts this station is putting out. I don't know who the other artists are but they might be someone you'd like.

My favorite fast song by BJ has always been "Born to be My Baby" but a close second is now one of their new/old ones "Radio Saved my Life Tonight"

Beach, that's so funny. I never even thought of that. I love how they kept that connection to Tommy and Gina in "It's my Life". It made it sort of like a soap opera only 20 yrs. later.

Well, I'm back from my Bon Jovi weekend and I've just got to say it was fantastic. We were originally supposed to arrive in AC on Saturday but because I added on staying until Tuesday to go to the Today show, I changed it to arriving on Sunday. What I missed was the dress rehearsal. BJ rarely does rehearsals but because they hadn't played some of these songs in 15 to 20 yrs. themselves, they were forced to so some. People who arrived at the Borgata on Sat. were given out passes to attend this rehearsal (2 hrs. long) while they were at dinner or at the lounge. People were just walking around handing out the passes. As far as the show goes, I couldn't be happier. I had 6 row seats dead center. That fan club rocks. Every fan club seat was in the 3 sections in the front up to row 7. I thought the show was up there as one of the best. The only thing I regret is that this is probably the only time I'll ever hear those new song live again. At one point, Jon looked me directly in the eyes. His eyes are so very very blue it's unbelievable. I almost fell back into my seat when that happened. Another time, he pointed right at me and smiled. (what a great smile he has, too). You could tell they were really enjoying playing all those new songs and I think they were plesantly surprised the way the fans reacted to them. We already knew most of the words even though we didn't know which of the 38 new songs they would play. I saw most of the band later on that night at the bar. They had a small section roped off for a private party but I had a pretty good view of Jon and I'm content just to sit there just looking at him. The next day, I went to my friends house in NJ. We left at Midnight Tuesday to head to NYC to get on line for the Today Show. At 6am the band came out and did a soundcheck that we got to hear. Then at 8:30 or so they performed for the show. I had it set to tape at home to watch later. I was really happy they played "Radio" which is my favorite of the new songs but they only showed the ending on the show. You can see me once or twice in the audience but the camera zooms by so fast I had to pause it to see myself and then only because I knew where I was standing. Spending 8 hrs. standing on the street in NYC was so worth it. It's a once in a lifetime expierence that I just had to do. To hear BJ rock at 6am in the morning just woke me right up. It was really great seeing all my BJ friends from all over the world (met a new one from Scotland, Lynn. That's not too far from you, is it?). He's got the mostly amazing digial pictures of the Today Show that he is going to send some of us.

The whole thing sounds like such a great time! I've been trying to email you, wondered where you were. The fan club actually got to go to the bar with the band? Or did you guys just know where he would be? Meeting all those people is so awesome. I have to admit I spent a lot of time looking at the audience on the webcast to see if I could spot you. Do you have blonde hair and big hooters!? LOL, they showed that gal a bunch. His music was fantastic, and he's just such a likeable guy, you're a lucky woman to have experienced a whole weekend like that!

There are only 2 bars in the Borgata and from the last show we knew which one they would be at. We never expected Jon to be there though usually just the other guys. We heard he was there on Friday night also but not in a roped out section but he does keep bodyguards around him. Some fans are really bad and would try to grab him or kiss him without being invited to. I have short brown hair with light brown highlights. I had on a black stretch top with gold metallic vine-type things on it. I am big chested but don't flaut it like some of the hmmm ladies the camera was on most of the time.

Have you seen a tape yet? I might actually have seen you. Were you standing anywhere near the woman with the "Loved The Box Set" sign?

No, I haven't seen a tape. I don't remember the sign either. I was in seat 1 of my row and a security guy was standing right near me most of the time. I was directly in front of Richie Sambora, when he's not by his mic he stands closer to Jon.

There was something that happened at the concert that was sooo cute. Tico, the drummer, sang a song and for that song Jon played the drums. He looked so cute, like a little kid with a new toy. He would concentrate so hard on keeping the beat and then he would look at one of the other band members and start laughing. We found out later that the sound engineer "Obie" kept telling him he sucked through his earpiece.

So what's the deal with Bon Jovi? Okay, Jon Bon Jovi is hot, to be sure. And I do have a certain fondness for "You Give Love a Bad Name". But it almost seems like it's a requirement to a Bon Jovi fan if you're a JPL fan. At least on this website and message board. And I don't really see what the fuss is all about. They're okay.
