Since "Topical questions regarding his music and the upcoming album will receive special consideration..."
Jon, have you ever recorded a song while wearing Underoos?
Okay, I'm just kidding. Here are my REAL questions:
What would you like to tell us about your new album?
Did you learn anything in particular while making your first album that you applied to the new album?
What inspires you most when you are writing music?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
Jon, My TV set isn't humming, but the picture tube went out. Who should I call?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
Have you ever wanted to voice a character in a video game, or an animated movie or TV series, and have you ever wanted to play a superhero/archvillain in a live action movie or TV series?
How do you feel about The Curtain Call CD 'bleeping' some of your lyrics?
Other than your own songs, what song do you like best from the Curtain Call CD?
Would you ever record a duet, and if so, who would you like to sing one with?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
Hey Jon, Have you ever done the Soulja boy dance? I went to an elementary school sock hop the other night and all the kids were doing it. Then I went to YouTube and found all these people who posted videos of themselves doing it. Do you get your "Soulja boy" on?
I read through the questions first to make sure I didn't ask anything over again.
Ya'll have me cheesing over here
Anyway questions for you Mr Lewis...
One, How often do you get to see your family? Do you go out of the way to make time? Or is it more like, "I'm in town, HI!"? Just wondering since you stay pretty busy how you manage personal time with professional time.
Two, a dreaded Idol question. If American Idol ever had a season where they brought back some past top 10 contestants to compete with each other for a second chance at the title, summer tour and all, would you want to compete again?
Three, Cockaroo Entertainment? Is that the name of your own label or the production company that helped you to produce the debut CD? If it is your label do you have any plans to expand upon it now that you have joined up with Authentic Records? Has joining up with Authentic Records developed a new sound on your second album that is different from what we heard on the first?
Ok, I'll think of more later after I get some sleep. Have fun!
Here are just a few of the many questions I would have.
1. What are some of the stories associated with the writing and production of "Break the Silence"? Did anything funny, moving, unusual, interesting, or otherwise noteworthy happen? (You tell great stories Jon.)
2. Is there a shaping concept to the album? If so, can you elaborate on that concept?
3. What did you enjoy most about making this album? What are you espcecially proud of?
4. What are your plans for distributing this album? In which stores might we expect to see the ablum?
5. What feedback have you received on the album from those who have heard some of it?
**************************** California Christmas this year.
This is probably too late since February 22 has passed, but I'll give it a shot anyway...
First I want to say that I am so glad I found this website, because today I heard your music for the very first time! I had no idea that you had an album out. I stopped watching American Idol all together when you were voted off in season 3, because I was so upset about it. I'm sorry that I never looked you up, but today I had an epiphany that I should, and I'm so glad that I did. I absolutely LOVE your music- congrats on such a great album. Sorry for this long intro, but now for the question- Do you think you might be coming to Boston any time soon? I would love to see you in concert. I'm helping organize a charity concert for my college's (Tufts University) chapter of STAND (A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition) for Darfur awareness. Is there anyway you would be willing to participate in a concert like that?
No, your question is not too late. We will be taking questions through the end of the month, so anyone who hasn't asked Jon a question will still have another week or so!
Jon, when you write music, do you first write the lyrics or the melody? When you listen to music... which do you focus on; The lyrics, the vocals, or the melody/intruments?
