Anyway...planning a Florida trip while on the east coast. Freebird Live is a small venue with great character! Gives fans an up close feel for a show. Wanna come to Florida?? We had a great time in Jacksonville a few years ago with you.
Planning on it.

Posted May 10, 2007 06:19 PM Hide Post Alrighty, my question is,
Why did you decide to join Idol Camp, like, what made you really want to do that? Also, are you excited for Idol camp?
^My reasoning for that is because I am going to Idol Camp, haha. XxOo Christy
Hey, that's great! I'll see you there. I wanted to do camp because I thought about how much I liked camp when I was younger. Plus, I think it's a cool thing to get connected with kids who are interested in the business

Posted May 11, 2007 09:25 PM Hide Post Okay I have two questions Jon! I've been meaning to ask you these for a while! Surprise
Okay has anyone ever told you that you sound like Isaac Slade (the lead singer of The Fray)? Because I really think you do! And I love The Fray, so that's a good thing! Wink
And my second question.....
Why did your cd change colors? Surprise Didn't it used to be brown? Now it's like blackish... or grey! OMG did you do that because your cd turned to grey?!?! Surprise Wink
Thanks. That guy has good voice. Ummmm, we changed the record cover because brown was a little too country for my blood. ...I did think about the turn to grey reference.

Posted May 16, 2007 05:10 PM Hide Post Jon! You mentioned some of your favorite songs (of yours) are ones we haven't heard yet. Are these newbs written by You, Sky, or a delightful combination of You and Sky? There's a combination of all three. We've both been writing a lot separately and together...

Posted May 16, 2007 05:16 PM Hide Post Hello again, Just wondering what you will be auctioning off in the Clothes Off Our Back charity. And if you can't say, perhaps you can hint? That's a great charity to be involved in, hope it comes back tenfold to you Linc I think I sent off the shirt I wore on Elton John week. Not the Jacket...what I wore under the jacket.

Posted May 16, 2007 05:32 PM Hide Post I understand most songwriters don't get inspiration from one solid, straightforward thing/situation... it's more abstract. But could you give a little background on some of the tunes you've written, say Burning in Hello or Amanda Grace, or any other that you wish to talk about? Burning in Hello had an interesting start. Originally it was meant to be an uptempo version of Turn to grey, but it quickly took on a life of it's own. The lyrics came to me when I was driving in my car one day. I was thinking about the same thing that inspired TTG and wrote a continuation of it. It's more like an intermission to TTG actually. I wrote TTG in two parts... the first was right after idol when I was into this girl, then the other later when I was in the studio and I wasn't so much anymore. Burning in hello was the in between.

New Member Picture of Posted May 17, 2007 04:27 PM Hide Post Thanks!! Smiley, Smileyface...those are both positive names so I'll be glad to go by either of 'emSmile As far as questions go, I have one more: Is performing without a band behind you (acoustic shows) a little more intimidating? If so, do you then prefer to have the band with you...or is it not better or worse, just different? not intimidating...just different. A very different vibe... I like it with the band more, though. I like the energy. It's nice to break it down and get intimate once in a while, though.

Jon, My daughter wished for me to ask how you and your brother are doing. She attended the community college with him in Bakersfield and was in the same chior with him. I spoke breifly to you one evening at a Christmas performance. My daughter is disabled from the knees down and your brother was always so kind and accepting. She has fond memmories of her days at Bakersfield College and people such as your brother made it all worth while for her. Thank you for your music. It is always meaningful and heartfelt. Take care and good luck in all you do. Brenda Keene.
Thanks Brenda. I'll tell Curtis. God bless.

kboigirl Posted May 27, 2007 03:42 PM Hide Post Hey there. I have a similar question as Smiley. Eight years ago I had a darling little girl who I named Amanda Grace. She loves your song and sings it at the top of her lungs all the time. What was your inspiration for that song? Well, it was about how relationships turn and turn about. Amanda Grace was something that rhymed with second place . It is a pretty name and feel free to pretend I wrote it for your litte girl.

Quendiva26 New Member Posted May 27, 2007 06:39 PM Hide Post I'm a new member here though not a new fan. So some of these questions may be answered already scattered throughout this site. Sorry if that is the case! I'm still trying to read everything. lol!
Why did you want Taylor to win (So did I, BTW)? Who were you rooting for this year and why? Is the last name just a coincidence? lol When did your CD come out and is it the first one? Will you be selling them at the convention in Nashville? I just read about a concert in Jacksonville. I live in Orlando. Did I miss that show? (hope not). And will you be coming further south? What's the best thing a fan could ever get you and what is the best thing a fan has gotten for you? Do you hate fans who are only NOW just joining your site (lol - JK).
Thanks in advance for answering my questions! Smile Also I want to say that you have a lot of talent and I'm glad you are still making a go of this entertaining thing. I can't wait to meet you in Nashville. Take care! Smile
wow. You don't mess around with questions. I thought taylor was interesting, I was rooting for Cris Sligh, me and blake's dad tried to find a family connection...their Lewis side and mine are both from Idaho but It's a long shot, you didn't miss a show and I love all of my fans... whew.

Posted June 04, 2007 05:54 PM Hide Post I just listened to the radio remix of "Boy Next Door" on your myspace. Why did it need to be remixed? Was the other version somehow not suitable for radio? What makes the new version better for radio? Do you have plans for getting the song on certain radio stations? What questions would I want to ask about this if I knew enough to think them up?
We remixed it because there were some things that we wanted to get done that we didn't get a chance to do the first time around.
