Hi. Out of all the songs you have written, which one is your favorite, or do you have a favorite?
Well, so far my favorite hasn't been recorded yet. I don't want to really spoil the surprise either. I still need to put some finishing touches on it, but yes I definately have my favorites.
Hey Jon, In honor of this chat I am wearing my "School of Rock" shirt. So, what are you wearing? (J/K).
Actually my real question is about clothes. When you are performing onstage the girls have sleeveless shirts and short dresses etc. and the guys have longsleeved shirts and jackets. I was always curious:
Are the guys hot? Let me rephrase that.
Are the girls cold and the guys sweating?
Well, I can't say that I know what you're talking about. Do you mean when I was on tour or are you talking about when I was on the show...? I imagine I was sweating if I was on stage with a long sleeve shirt. I imagine I was sweating if had on a short sleeve shirt too. I'm sure the girls were wearing their short sleeves in the name of fashion.
Hi Jon, First up I want you to know that I love your music. I know you probably heard that like a gazillion times already but I just had to say it cause it's true. I'm a girl, I'm 16 years old and I live in the Philippines. Anyway I just want to ask a bunch of stupid random questions.
1. If you could meet anyone-anyone at all dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Thanks a bunch and God bless you!!!
Probably Jesus. Even if he wasn't the son of God, the entire last two thousand years has revolved around his life...literally. I'd love to see what the fuss is all about.
Hi Jon. My name's Courtney. I just wanted to ask you how long it takes you to write, record, and produce one of your songs.
Hey courtney Each song is different in writing. Some are written faster than others, but generally you go into the studio with a bunch of songs ready for recording. realistically it's good to schedule two or three days per song in recording. I guess that's not really conservative either. A lot of things can come up...like, say, you don't really like the way the back-up vocals turned out or whatever. Then once the recording is done the disk needs to be mastered. That's basically making all the songs louder and making sure that they're all the same volume on the disk. Then the question of distribution comes up and on top of that, in my case it's a question of whether it'll be distributed by a label or indie. That and then there's the question of studio scheduling...the answer to you question is that it takes a while.
Is it really true you will have t-shirts for sale by the end of May? Will you also be putting any other items up for sale? My birthday is 5/27.....I'm hoping it's true. I'll take one in every color and style.....seriously.
Well, we're working on it. I think they should be done by then. Yeah, go out and get them, we're going to have some pretty cool stuff.
Hey jon how are you? I'm doing great. would be better if my parents would drive me 5 hrs to see u in IN, but i couldn't talk them in to it. im sorry i couldn't give this to u myself, im working, LOL
I was just wondering if you had any concert plans for this summer?
Ah well, maybe next time. I haven't made plans yet for the summer, but I'll definately be crossing that bridge this year. I'll be sure to keep people posted hear on the web
Hi Jon. Since I know very little about the business of being a musician, I was wondering what your typical day is like. Is there such a thing as a typical day?
Jon, I read about the Coca~Cola tour. Any chance you will be adding any more cities? Have you met those you are performing with yet from AI4? (Jessica is very good!)
I don't think I'll be doing any more cities. I met all the 24 finalists this year at the magazine release party
1. Do you like playing video games? if so which ones?. 2.Do you enjoy your time on american idol and would be willing to do it again? 3. Do you like soda? 4. Who is your favorite American Idol 4?
I play halo 2 online until I pass out during the middle of the night. Um, I'm definately glad I did it, I mean what an opportuntiy, but once is enough. I love Dr Pepper and I think I haven't seen enough of this season to have an opinion about them. I kind of like the rockers a lot.
How many songs have you written for your upcoming album?
I've got a lot of songs written, right now it's a question of which songs will fit best with this particular project. You can expect about 10-15 songs on the album.
Jon, I heard you'd be doing the Coca~Cola tour in Indiana, and I was just wondering if you know what songs you'll be doing. Thanks! And have fun with it
Tell you what, if you can't make it to the concert to find out I'll make sure that there's a report about it here on the site
