Jon decided that instead of writing journal entries he'd rather answer your questions online! So feel free to ask him any questions you may have and he'll do his best to answer as many of them as time allows.
Use this thread to ask your questions, and he'll answer in the "Jon's replies" thread so that it's easier for everyone to read his responses.
Your good buddy Mikey here from Down Under! I can't wait for your new EP and any live shows you might do here in the future. I've been doing my best to promote your work here in Oz, and I'm still working on getting you that collaboration with The Bangles! I couldn't resist seeing how much you like them, how much I like you and them, and how much your music influences are similar, so a team-up someday would be great for both Bangles and JPL fans. I know Debbi Peterson was interested in your work, and I'm getting a chance to chat with Susanna Hoffs herself soon, so I'll keep plugging!
As a writer, I'd be happy to write reviews of your EP and shows (once I get to see one) for you, it would be more career opportunities both for your singing and my writing.
You once mentioned you had a crush on She-Ra when you were younger, did you know that she's coming to DVD as of July of this year?
Here's the information I posted in another section of this site:
Jonnyyyyy! First off Jon, you're the coolest of the cool and thanks for making great music! Here are my questions . . . cool: So are we ever gonna get to see the curls again? Please? When are you coming to the DC area? And if you come don't be surprised if I go crazy when I see you. hehehe Who's your favorite on AI this year? (You so know it's Ace and Katharine lol ) Hows the EP coming along?
Alright those are all the questions I have up my sleeve at the moment thanks for taking the time to read them!
I know we are all excited for your EP to come out. What, if anything, can you tell us about it at this point?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.. It's about learning to dance in the rain."
Hey Jon, In several of your recent interviews, you've talked about how excited you are about the band you've put together. Can you tell us a little about your band members...specifically about their musical backgrounds?
I can't wait to hear the new stuff!! Best of luck to you...hope to see you in concert again soon!!!
Good luck on the show tomorrow night! I will want to know all about it. How does the band sound. What songs did you sing? Are the band members as cute as you? When is your next show? Will you play somewhere that you don't have to be 21?
Hope you're doing great. I was wondering if you could say what the playlist of songs were for your recent show at Molly Malone's, and whether or not they were songs that you wrote/co-wrote?
Jon, It's sad to say I didn't even know about his website until I read about you in Entertainment Weekly. I was so happy to catch up with what youre doing...didn't realize how much I much I missed that cute smile. Are you turning red? Just wanted you to know that I'm glad to see that you are continuing with your singing career and not settling for what other people think you should be singing. Stay true to yourself ... you are loved! I will definitely be looking for your next live performances in Cali. (subliminal...backstage pass, backstage pass)
Not in form of a question but have to say when you first hit the limelight with A.I., It's your originality that impressed me and hoping that you continue the way you are and with your music telling a story is entertaining. So to get blunt: I'm glad that your continuing in the business with your own material and looking forward to your CD coming out shortly. Was I too serious Also knew you'd go for Taylor Hicks, great things will come from him too.
Jon-What's up. Congratulations on everything you got going on. I am a friend of your brother's (Christian) from Cross Lanes. My name is Chan Roush, we used to play some soccer with you when you were a bit younger. Anyway just checking stuff out and thought I would give you a shout. Chan
I ordered Susanna Hoffs & Matthew Sweet's new 60s song covers duet CD yesterday, so when it arrives, I'll let you know how awesome it is!
Excellent reviews and photos of your recent Molly Malone's gig, sorry I couldn't be there - but if you ever pop on over to Oz, there's an Irish Pub near my house. You and the band could stay with me and you could perform at the club!
I haven't been able to speak to Susanna yet about your music - she's also been busy with her current projects, but a lady by the name of Denise, she's the Administrator of The Bangles Official Website/Forum has seen you in concert, because I've been promoting you in Bangleonia!
****I saw him in concert... COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA.****
I'm sure you will recognise the above icon she used to describe your show...Walk Like An Egyptian, baby!
