Hey everyone, I know it's been a while since you've heard some music from me, and I've still got a lot to do to finish, but I put up a clip of one of my songs in the media section under audio. We'll have the full version ready shortly. I hope you guys like it
Hey omnibus(it sounds so impersonal not to use your name, but I know the rules and you probably get it all the time)Instant fame is really odd. It's cool, but it happens so fast that you're caught totally unprepared by it. I'm okay in the treansition. I think anyone changes under those circumstances, but Hopefully they make good changes. I think my brothers help me stay grounded the most. The beat the crap out of me if I changed too much
I have a couple of questions. One is which do you prefer: Performing live or working on your music in the studio? As far as your music, what can we expect as far as content? A whole lotta rock with a little bit of ballad-type stuff, vice versa or an even mix? Any acoustic numbers? What genre would you place yourself in at this point?
I forgot I was supposed to paste the question...
Hey green eyes, I've written mainly mellow music so far. They aren't ballads, though. We'll see what esle comes up. I think I like the studio a little more, but I like the energy of a live performance, though.
What advice would you give to someone who wanted to audition for American Idol?
I'd say to that person to keep in mind that the moment they step into the Arena to audition for AI They are competeing with the people they love the most on the radio, not the other competitors. They have to be ready for that
To what extent, if any, does American Idol retain control over your career decisions?
Well, it's the first thing america sees about that person. I'm sure you know the importance of first impressions. Well they can't really control you leagaly, but they control you by assosiation. They chose the way to market themselves, the colors they use, the logos they display, etc. All that is something that works for them on TV, and makes a great TV show, but itsn't exactly what works for every, in fact, very few artists.
Thanks everyone for the questions. sorry I haven't gotten a journal page up in a while. I've been really busy. I'll get something up soon. Thanks so much for all the support.
